Anyone seen Sound of Metal yet?

Going to catch that this week hopefully.

      Just watched this today.

Fantastic film and one of the best I've seen so far this year. Riz Ahmed is so believable and can see why the movie won so many awards for Sound Design.

      Well worth a watch.

      Watched the film ‘Villain’ Sunday.

Another Craig Fairbrass being a nutter type film but really enjoyed it.

      Wild Bill last night.

Dexter Fletcher's debut as a director. decent enough with some good performances.

Captain Phillips on netflix. Hanks's performance in the last 10 minutes or so was incredible! Barkhad Abdi as the main pirate in his first ever acting role was amazing as well.

Funny I watched this the other day as well.

Hanks perfect for the role and as you say those last 10 mins or so are as good as any.

It might just be Hank's best ever scene, he's that good! He plays the stress and trauma so real.

The Suicide Squad  - boss and some seriously dark funny moments. Much better version than the other one a few years back.

Last weekend the Mrs was away on a shopping trip so spent the night watching movies.

Rewatch of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood which is still a great movie.

Midsommar I enjoyed but still not as good as Asters previous Heriditary.

Promising Young Woman was a very well made film I thought with a cracking score and great performance as always from Carey Mulligan.

Finished off with The Lighthouse which I'd been meaning to watch for ages. Didn't disappoint and although won't be for everyone it is a fantastic film in every way

Not to go down the Scorsese/Copolla route but surely we've long gone past the point of overkill with superhero films?

I genuinely don't get the appeal - can someone enlighten me on their popularity??!

Really? I've only seen good reviews.

I found it boring mate, even my kids were like WTF is this .. 😂

Well it was only a mess because Warner Bro’s did a Zack Snyder of the directors & messed it all up… I prefer the first one to be honest…

Im with you on this one mate, it really is juvenile garbage. It's basically guadians of the galaxy crossed with the expendables but less entertaining than both.

At least the 2016 movie felt sort of like a dark DC comic book flick. This one is just silly b-movie trash.

Can't understand all the rave reviews.

I think Gunn tried his best not to crossover with GOTG but you can see he wanted too…

I found it a bit like the bastardised version of JL by Wheadon..

Finally managed to watch it, The Suicide Squad, and I was very excited after the rave reviews, but all I can say is it reminded me exactly why I rarely read reviews these days…

Was terrible, the first was bad but this was worse. Felt like a violent Dr Who episode.
