Have you watched black panther yet?.

      Not yet mate.

To be honest after Doctor Strange I've developed a bit of Marvel fatigue but I do plan on seeing it at some point.

Best superhero film I've seen lately, and by some distance, was Logan.

The 15:17 to Paris is the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. Utter.... UTTER sh*te. Clint Eastwood couldn't even save this. Nothing happens and then everyone goes 'MURICA' at the end. Garbage. It's based on a true story but they got the actual people who experienced it to act it out. Turns out they can't act for sh*t... Shocking!

Haven't seen it, but Clint is pretty hit and miss.
Sully was like watching paint dry  (the plane crash was a decent like 3 mins)
Will skip this one too I think.

      Saw 'Logan' the other night.
Not a 'mutants' fan, but the hard drinking and violence overcame :)
      Good movie.

Eastwood is exactly as you say, hit and miss, and like you I thought Sully was one of the most boring films I've seen in a while.

I didn't even finish watching Invictus
But Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River - he can smash it out of the park on his day too,

Letters from Iwo Jima? Thought that was a belter. Though the companion film from the US perspective, Flags of our Fathers, I found pretty boring.

Haven't seen Unforgiven yet which is annoying as it's been one I've been intending on catching for years!

Yep Letters From Iwo Jima is a far superior film to Flags Of Our Fathers.

Agreed re Letters from Iwo Jima.

Unforgiven is superb - Gene Hackman towering.

Three Billboards wins the Best Film Bafta.

Was hoping it would but didn't think Bafta would go for it so delighted and pleasantly surprised.

I would not let that dissuade you. Political tones because they're integral to the story, but the action and the characters are equally as awesome. I absolutely loved it. Best Marvel film there's been. Definitely powerful.

Enjoyed Black Panther but not as good as the likes of Civil War and Thor Ragnorak.

Quite excited for this one. Rogue One was stellar, hoping the stand alone stories really kick on because there's so much there to potentially tell.

      O.J:made in America.
This documentary is superb & far superior than the recent  drama The People vs O.J. Simpson. It just presents the facts with plenty  of footage from the time, pictures of the actual crime scene ( you'll need a strong stomach ) interviews, people who personally knew O.J. From friends & acquantences or were involved directly in the trial. I felt most sorry for but mostly respected the Goldmans who fought and fought and never gave up. The documentary importantly shows the hatred of the black community toward the LAPD after the Rodney King beatings and police acquittals, and numerous such travesties of justice in the years leading up to the trial.. the whole thing became less about murder & more about race. Its extraordinarily warped really, an almost unbelievable story. But it's true.
I've seen many documentaries over the years & this is right up there with the the best I've seen.
The  documentary runs for 7.5 hrs and is in 5 parts but the running time flew by as it is thoroughly absorbing from start to finish.
      Highly recommend.

Seven more MCU films announced up to 2022.

Am I the only one finding it hard to get excited by this?

Doctor Strange kind of did it for me.

While it had some great moments I found it to be just another origin story that I'd seen before.

Still watch the films when I can but I struggle to see how people still get so excited for these films.

Finally got round to watching War For The Planet Of The Apes.

A great end to a very good trilogy.

Ceaser is one of the best characters in recent years for me.

Give the documentary "13th" a crack if you haven't already. Brilliant examination of the use of racism in the US "justice" system. On Netflix.

Agreed,no end to the talents of Andy serkis who was also brilliant in his portrayal of Ian dury in sex & drugs & rock 'n' roll.
