That’s funny. But they do realize that they can’t legally remake the film right? I’m just hoping episode 9 somehow saves the sequel franchise.

Yeah, very highly unlikely Disney will accept this, so it may turn into a non profitable fan fiction film. It is supposedly a big name producer and his friends doing this too.

Tbh, I am not sure how 9 can save it... unless JJ uses time travel (which is now in canon) and wipe out 8!!!

Was reading that Disney have binned off some of the future A Star Wars story films to concentrate on improving a sequel to Last Jedi, don't think they were too impressed with it by the sounds of things.

      Weird folk about.

It's very mediocre and I didn't enjoy it that much but it's not a terrible film and still better than the prequels.

Easily one of my favourite films from last year.

Looks like James Gunn's career is over, disgusting F***ing sh*t, hope he rots. I wonder if GOTG 3 will  be cancelled now.

It won't be cancelled he will just be replaced as director.

Definitely won't work for Disney again.

      And..... fired!

Career has to be over too, can't see anyone wanting his name attached to anything now.

Get the feeling a lot of people have overreacted to what he was trying to say, a lot of it was stuff he had tweeted in the past and was retweeting to show how attitudes & opinions can change over a few years.

Wouldn't surprise me if Taika Waititi wasn't given the GOTG 3 directing gig.

Watched The Social Network again last night.

One of my all time favourite films and the perfect blend of acting, direction, script and score.

Think it's a shame really, Brian Singer of X men was actually accused of raping a boy & sexual harassment, still directs for Marvel..

I can't see GOTG 3 being anywhere good as the last 2 without Gunn.

Honestly, I can understand the "overreaction", I certainly find it very disturbing now that I have 2 girls (2 and 4). With how Hollywood is, I wouldn't be surprised if he meant those tweets and is part of some paedophile network.

      Absolutely brilliant movie.

Manages to successfully mix multiple genres horror, thriller, action, mystery in to one thrillingly disturbing cat and mouse chase.

The film is probably on par with Infernal Affairs, Heat and Seven for me.

Anyway, gonna watch, The Wailing this weekend. Recommended by a friend and supposedly one of the best Horror films!

Saw it few months back mate. Not bad but I think you would need to know about Korean lore to get a lot of the symbolism but it's definitely worth a watch very creepy in parts.

Watched Bill Forsyth's Local Hero last night for the first time after years of intending to watch it.

Not a single bad bone in that film. Very funny, very sweet and heartfelt that gets under your skin (like the Scottish seaside village itself!) in a very good way. Wonderful!

Brilliant film from a brilliant director,if you've not seen it yet try & watch one of his other films 'housekeeping' which I thought was also brilliant & his directorial gem 'that sinking feeling'.
