      Just back from MI-Fallout.
Hadn't been to the flics to see the previous couple of MIs, but heard this one was good, so went along.
Henry Cavill was good, and Sean Harris, and Vanessa Kirby - they get good cast.
Action scenes just keep stepping up, hard to know how films like this can keep upping the bar.
I must be getting on, cause though I enjoyed it, I was knackered after 140 mins of action :)
Tom is getting on too, not sure how much longer he can pull the role off.
Still, its a solid popcorn blockbuster, with a decent twist or two.

      Roll on the footy Sunday...

Went to see The Meg last night. Liked it for what it was; some terrible acting and dialogue but good fun.

      Re-watching Smokin Aces tonight.

Watching American Assassin on Netflix, nearly 5 complete stars, thought I give it ago, crock of unbelievable american egotistical nonsense.

Note to self, look at online reviews next.

Watched that ages ago, just seemed utter sh*te and the usual Hollywood response to incidents like what happened in Tunisia.

This has apparently debuted to massive standing ovations and some brilliant first impressions from Cannes. Equally funny and harsh commentary on the current climate, they say. Going by the trailer below, I can't f**king wait.

'Ballers' fans will certainly recognise John David Washington, but for those who don't know - Denzel's kid. Looking like he could have a damn fine career ahead of him as well.

Went to an advanced of this last week.

      Absolutely brilliant.

      Calibre.

A Scottish movie that I thought was really good. Dark in places, but good.

Just watched that recently myself. Great acting, very tense. Certainly makes you have that conversation about morals with yourself, because it really does spiral.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was on earlier on BBC 2. Love it, in fact I love it so much that I think it's better than Raiders.

      Just watched Baby Driver again.

Easily one of my favourite films from last year.
Watched that the other day for the first time. Very good film.

Finally watched, Solo. Not too bad and it actually felt like a Star Wars movie unlike that sh*t, TLJ. Only negative was L3 and Lando's relationship with the droid which was a bit odd, but other than that, I enjoyed it!

MI:Fallout has to be on par, if not better than the first one. Great movie and really really really liked Cavill's performance in it!

Quite impressed by this one and the one before it, Rogue Nation I think.

      Really??

Just back from it. As a Predator piss take movie it was funny in parts.

As an actual Predator movie it was laughably bad one of the most cringe worthy scripts I've seen committed to screen.

Dutch must be rolling in his grave.

Hence why I said it's alright. Just something to watch to pass the time. It's not the worst film I've seen and can't be any worse than them horrific Alien Vs Predator movies. At least director Shane Black, who was actually in the first movie has tried to tie them in with the other two.

Yea I appreciate he tried to expand on the predator universe and copied the music and a few signature shots and lines from the original.

But my god was Black way off the mark with the tone and script. He may as well have made a flat out screwball spoof comedy like Spaceballs as it was closer to that then the original Predator.

I did laugh at a few of the one liners but as someone who loves the original it's an unmitigated disaster as a sequel.

Was it written and directed by, Rian Johnson?
