Finally got round to watching Moneyball, and I'm wondering why people use the term as an insult.

I have no idea what is wrong with innovation.

Watched Primal Fear for the first time in ages.

I pretty average courtroom drama that's lifted by an excellent performance from Ed Norton.

I knew it was an early role of his but forgot it was his debut until I looked it up after.

Enjoyed that and thought Costner was very good.

But it's not innovative, it's either doing things on the cheap or completely by stats. Great for sports like Baseball or even Cricket, but the first couple of seasons at Anfield under FSG showed it doesn't really work in footy.

The perfect film for all the fantasy football loving Statto wannabes!!

I remember a couple of years ago saying on here that I'd never seen The Sting starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman. A couple of you swore by it and too right!

Seen it three times in the last couple of years (including on Monday night) and it is perfect in every way. Ranks amongst my favourite films and I don't think I'll ever tire of it. Love it!

Is that what you took from it mate?
Best part for me, or most interesting anyway, was when they were sat down with players going through pitches/strikes and strengths/weaknesses, I could see how that would be really beneficial in football.
Plus looking at metrics in a new way, or to put it another way, without those metrics being looked at differently, we probably wouldn't have Robertson, Salah, Firmino, Mane to name just 4.

Anyhoo, not the place for this, so suffice to say I enjoyed it

Saw Shazam the other night. Best DCU movie I've seen, though I haven't got around to Wonder Woman yet. A solid 7 out of 10 film.

Funny, engaging and moves along at a good pace, unlike most other DC movies which have either felt like a set of skits stuck together or they've been bloated, poorly paced and lumpy action flicks.

Saw Endgame. Pretty entertaining but some little things that kept it from being really good or great for me. Donā€™t feel like it has a high rewatch value.

Going to see it this week.

I've seen many on Twitter having watched it 2 or 3 times already and I just don't get it.

I've even seen it called a masterpiece and wonder if that's over stating things as as much as I enjoy the Marvel films I would struggle to call any of them masterpieces.

      Watched Endgame last night.
Solid way to wrap up that phase of the MCU.
Some great moments and a lot of fan service. (Some worked, some didn't)
Happy enough with how it played out apart from one or two bits,
but I'll leave it at that because I'd hate to spoil it for anyone.

Not a masterpiece but the best Marvel movie to date in my opinion and if you look at Infinity Wars and Endgame as a single movie the best superhero movie of all time after The Dark Knight.

After contemplating some more on Endgame, there are some things Iā€™m not thrilled about. For it to be the ā€œwrap-upā€ movie I think they got a little lazy. Donā€™t get me wrong, some very good parts in it action wise and emotional bits, but overall I think they snatched at it and sent it high over the bar.

Watched End Game yesterday, brilliant follow up to Infinity War and did close the book very nicely on some characters. There are a few parts that seemed a little rushed but I thought the producers did incredibly well to wrap up the loose ends without sacrificing the story line.

I honestly don't think any other superhero film can come anywhere close to this - they've set the bar very high.

Yea, thought it was good, but not as good as Infinity War.
Some parts ran on a bit long imho.
Don't want to give anything away, so won't go into details.

Off to see Endgame tonight. As it stands, I'll have the cinema to myself, according to the online seat selector.
