Zero Dark Thirty on Amazon. Never seen it before but thoroughly entertaining depiction of the Bin Laden hunt. Highly recommend!

      Great film.

Watched Stan and Ollie last night.

Quite a sad story really. But if nothing else has made me decide to sit down and introduce my 2 lads to this comedy gold duo

O Brother Where Are Thou. Good film but not the Coen Brothers best by a long shot.

Also, I don't think I've ever watched a George Clooney film that I felt was essential. He's decent enough but just doesn't quite do it for me. Bland and inoffensive.

Edit: Actually Gravity is a damn fine film. But then again I think thats more to do with Sandra Bullock and the special effects more than anything.

I love that film and is probably my favourite Clooney role.

Difficult to say where I'd place it in the Coens filmography though as they've so many great films.

Loved the soundtrack though. Thought it was bang on.

If you have a spare four hours I highly recommend Zack Snyder's Justice League as it was intended.

On firestick. Apparently sky replaced the 7am showing this morning, although it's still available on demand.

Just watched it! Stunning & it closes many JW F**k ups but also opens up the DC universe which I think Snyder needs to continue with..

Unforgiven is on Amazon Prime. Seen it before but one I love rewatching! One of Eastwood's many masterpieces, perhaps his best.

Yeah, I felt at the time of its release that it was a classic of the genre, and it has held up.

Absolutely loved it. Had planned on watching it over two nights but just couldn't switch it off.

An amazing achievement considering how awful Whedon's butcher job was. To go from that lame childish cartoony poor man's Avengers movie to a 4 hour epic full of stunning set pieces and real character development is an incredible feat. Very happy for Zack and if there is real justice in the world HBO Max will fund the rest of his vision.

Just watched I Care A Lot.

Great performance form Rosamund Pike and a good premise that was very entertaining.

Watched Godzilla vs Kong today, if you go in knowing exactly what you’re in for, big monsters kicking the sh*t out of each other and not much more, it’s a great watch, thoroughly enjoyed it and passed a couple of hours in no time.

Also watched Chaos Walking, I haven’t read the book so didn’t know what to expect, but such a interesting premise, and although it seems to have got some bad reviews, I quite enjoyed it with a decent cast too!

The Coen's True Grit on Netflix. Seen it about a decade ago so was overdue a rewatch. Just fantastic!

Speaking of Westerns, The Sisters Brothers is a proper good one.

      I really enjoyed it.

Looks interesting. Will have to check it out!

Since the BBC and every other main channel seems paralyser by Prince Philip's passing, you have to run away and seek out a bit of pure escapist entertainment this evening. So just finished re-watching Minority Report. Still one of my favourite films from the 00s. It really skims along beautifully and I absolutely love the look of it. Love how Spielberg and cinematographer Kaminski bleached the film to give it that blue filtered futuristic/neo noir feel. True masters. And Tom Cruise is fantastic in it! Perfect blend of blockbuster entertainment with philosophical concepts.
