You know what, Props to Mavinga for reacting the way he did. So many players would just run away and not give a s***. In football these things happen, and the way I have heard about Mavinga he isn't the type of player that does that on purpose. I hope the injured player comes back asap.

Wow, that was just horrible.  Watch the video again and notice how the spin of the ball makes it go from where it was headed to going sideways.  Not trying to make an excuse, just noticed that if the ball didn't go in that direction, Mavinga's foot would have got the ball (before nearly decapitating the player).

That was just an accident, nothing on purpose. Carcela was brought to the hospital and has a broken nose and cheeck, he should be ok.

In other news, Mavinga is a Belgian league winner!

Yeah, obviously it's not intentional, he's tries to get the ball and obviously it's just unlucky that it span in another direction then ended up chinning the player.

Shouldn't have kicked it either way though, even if he wouldn't have headed it his head would've been much too close to kick it like that. Here in Holland at least that's seen as dangerous play, just because of the risk, even if it doesn't have direct consequences.

Was a very brutal challenge, but don't think there was any Malice it was just reckless.

Almost as bad as this one.

      The lad is devastated,

Chris mavinga, the Genk-player that tackled Carcela says "I absolutely want to excuse myself personally with Medhi. Therefor I'm not going on vacation yet. Genk keeps me informed.

I didn't really celebrate. I just couldn't. I slept really bad. I constantly saw the images of Carcela's head. What I did was unintentionally. I hope he believes me!"
