Will be interesting to see how long it is before he starts again because Carra at right back has been very good lately. Maybe put Arby at left back until Insua is back? he has proven he can play in that position before against Barcelona.

If Aurelio's fit then I would prefer him at left back over Arbeloa.

I'd rather have Arby at left back. He showed against Barca that he can play well there and Aurelio seems to take 2 months to get to form.

With the way it's gone this season and the form he's in, I'd have Arbeloa at left back over Aurelio as well.

Suprised to see N'gog with more thread pages than this guy, Arbeloa is a great player who is never mentioned.

I'd like to see Arbeloa played at left back, beats sticking Dossena out there.  He was playing left back for Spain in mid-week and didn't look out of place at all.
Maybe then we could fit Cara, Agger and Squirtal all in the same team.

The shortness of this thread shows what an underrated player he is really.

First game back from injury yesterday, and was straight back to his best. I was really impressed by how solid he was (and always is), very rarely gets beaten by his man. He was so good yesterday, he was often turning the situation on it's head, tackling the winger, and rapidly turning a potentially dangerous situation into a counter-attack for us!

Hope he stays fit until the end of the season, top player.

Still can't believe people are suggesting replacing him in the summer!

He is getting better and better I didn't think he would be as good as finnan but in fact he is better

I agree with Ayrton, he gives us such an attacking threat and also he isnt bad at tackling either. His runs up the wing help us alot, we can spread the game and it stretches their defense, him and Reira yesterday allowed Torres and Gerrard more room in the center.

He was definitely the MOM for me yesterday.He was constantly present at the right places at the right time.One moment he was breaking their play & the next he was there to help out the attackers or provide a cross in their box.Just dont know what he was thinking when he passed that ball to Torres instead of taking a shot.I think we have found our first-choice RB,now we only need a back-up for him.

Arbeloa is the new Finnan.

Very consistent and very underrated.

He is one of my favourite players already.

Got better and better recently.

But, when you come in and your first game is against Barcelona and you mark Messi out the game, that showed me we had a very good player on our hands and a snip at £2.5 million.

Hopefully those calls for Glen Johnson will go even more quiet now!

He's a gem of a player and his versatility gives us options. A real bargain buy and has only had a handful of bad performances.

I like Arby alot.

he's definitely good enough to claim the RB! Just get in a youngster to back him up when he's injured or badly needs a rest. and then there are also jamie and javier in case emergency

Arbeloa,Aurelio,Reira,Lucas,Xabi,Skittles,Agger,Reina,Insua,Spearing,Plessis,Ngog and El Zhar are proof that Rafa is the best manager in the league right now.

That probably sums up how good he is. I mean how many fans from other clubs' biggest concern about their right back would be his shooting?

I agree definetly one of the most under rated players in the league, at least Del Bosque took notice and repaid him some credit with calls to the national squad. Given he returned from injury he was brilliant against Villa and made Young look unanimous.

Why would you want to sell him he has worked his socks off this season to improve as a player he is under rated because people always talk about the manc sh*te
