I am making homemade pasties! It is my gift to my mom for Mother's Day here in the US.

Home made corn beef hash, with a cheese and rye bread crust on top of it; served with with baked beans and pickled cabbage. Very acceptable.

Chinese tonight - my wedding anniversary. Just a takeaway I've got an early one tomorrow but a drop of fizz to go with it.

Nice big rump steak (rare medium) roasted field mushrooms and a homemade cherry tomato and spring onion chutney

Ikea meatballs (now with no added horsemeat!) - If you haven't tried them i would highly recommend

Italian Sausages, corn on the cob and grilled onions/peppers, washed down with a Yuengling Lager.

Soup for me tonight....nothing exciting but I don't mind it now and again.

I wish I could buy Yuengling lager where I live in the Midwest, but it is not available. I tried it last year when I was in Florida visiting a friend and really liked it a lot.

Having pork chops, mashed potatoes and beets for dinner tonight.

Baked sweet potato, roast tomatoes, sweetcorn, mushrooms & venison burgers with spinach & ricotta sauce

It will be fried octopus, swordfish, sardines, hake and gambas at a wee fish restaurant in town - accompanied by a very nice bottle of white Rioja.

Wife and kids can have a tomato and onion salad between them - I'm not made of money!

Corned beef pastie as I have just made them, with some onion gravy and chips.
