The Beatles greatest song

Time for some serious debate people.

Of all the Beatles songs which do you thing is there very best? Dosnt have to be one of there famous songs just whichever one you think is there greatest.

For me Brian - "Get Back"

There are places I remember - pure classic and reminds me so much of Istanbul

My choice would be 'Strawberry Fields Forever', b-side 'Penny Lane' ...... surely the strongest 'single' ever released.

"In my life" gets my vote.But "strawberry fields forever" and "yesterday" are right up there!

Not a big fan of The Beatles. Apart from George Harrison, I find/found their egos quite nauseating, but saying that I can not denigh their music, melodies, compositions, and the like, fantastic.

Personally I do not think you can have a "greatest" Beatles song as I like diferent ones for different moods, but I do agree with justice4the96 with There are places I remember because of that wounderful Istanbul Video.

"In My Life" especially with the words being spoken by Sean Connery, always leaves my hairs standing on end when I hear this version.

Personally for me any from Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, A Day In The Life or Eleanor Rigby.

Anything off Sgt. Pepper and Strawberry Fields/Penny Lane also the White Album is a real showstopper.

Surreal!! even Ringo looks trippy

The likes of Daytripper and we can work it out are never mentioned as the best but they are cracking tunes. Still dont know my favourite ill be back again 

So hard to choose, I find it impossible to pick just one....so my top 5 would be.

For me Helter Skelter, Let it Be, Eleanor Rigby or While My Gutar Gently Weeps with Eric Clapton.  These are the only Beatles songs I really like...the rest are listenable but I'm not a huge fan.

I'd like to say about my favorite songs, not the greatest ones.

1. I've just seen a face.  Is it folk or country?
I'd like even dance remix made for that song what is unusual for me.
2. Ticket to ride.
I like music video of that song in "Help!"
3. Getting better!
Like the line: I have to admit it's getting better. It's getting better all the time!

I started listening their music because of their personalities after I watched AHDN. In fact,before I was indifferent to all their greatness.

I like most of them, but A Day in the Life just captures the Beatles so well that it's a classic to me.
Other ones: Come Together, Strawberry Fields Forever, Ticket to Ride, Day Tripper, It's Only Love, etc.

sh*t 90% of them were great.

Thats almost an Impossible question to answer. I love the Beatles, so picking 1 song is frying my brain.

My #1 Would have to be "Dont Let Me Down". It is a PERFECT song. Even Ringo's drums.

Toughie this but probably Back In The USSR for me. Love I Am The Walrus too. There's some perfume ad out at the moment with Drive My Car on it, keep finding myself breaking into "beep beep, beep beep, yeah" whenever it comes on!
