Sorta agree and disagree with this statement... on the one hand... they look bloody awesome together... on the other hand it's obviously not perfect because we haven't won the league.

Lets be honest mate look at the games last season we played with out Gerrard and Torres in tandem due to injury had they played in just two more games together we could have been league champions. was strength in depth that cost us.

to be honest just get the left side sorted. riera not good enough over the season. babel never looks like reaching his potential.

I watched Liverpool - Chelsea and Portsmouth - Liverpool the other day, and i think we are very deadly with Yossi playing on the left.

Yossi is a very good player, but there is much better out there for that position and if we are going to strengthen the first team why not some one for the left side as its universally believed thats where we need to strengthen ?

Hasn't Rafa made a comment about us not being involved in the race for his signature, plus he wants to move to Madrid and will stay in Germany for another season.

Waiting for an explanation of the odds change, I wonder if there will ever be one. I guess not.

The odds only changed because the bookies were covering themselves.

I did say back in January, when there was talk of us going in for Ribery, He ony signed a two year deal at Bayern. If he wanted a move, they would sell, otherwise they would have a player who didn't really want to be there for a full season, and then lose him on a bosman for zilch ! Not good business. I don't know if he's signed an extension to that contract yet, but if not, there could be something in this, and it needn't be more than 20mill if he really wants to join us. You don't slash odds as a bookie, from 66/1 to 13/8 on, unless there has been some serious money laid down. Serious gamblers usually have inside information before betting big dollars, This is the sort of skillfull aggresion we could do with. Hope it comes off. Still like the idea of us laying on 10 m at 66/1 though. :lmao: :lmao:

I wont mind if this guy Franck Ribery come to anfield  ;D. He is world class player. Can improve the attacking stats and create and score important goal like he play for Bayern Munich. Love to have him. Maybe Rafa still have around 30m pound to bid this guy  But does he really want to play for Liverpool  ???

Add another £40m to that £30m and we might be able to persuade Munich.

Probably not coming to Anfield anymore. Too expensive and Rafa has already ruled him out. 50-70 million for a 27 year old player is ridiculous. The more realistic option would be Silva now.
