The majority of injuries have been recurrences so I reckon if we can get rid of them for good he will be fine.

Sometimes we have to take risks.  I'm willing to give Aquilani a clean slate, to prove himself.

If he passes the super test, fine. Has undoubted talent and we may have got him at a very good price.

Agree with you there,Players can recover from niggling injuries and iron them out of their games, hopefully that'll be the case with Alberto.

A big risk it is as well. Signing an injured player at the start of our biggest season for years is a risk of the highest proportion. And if an injury is recurring then that doesn't bode well either. The EPL is the hardest league in the world, physical toughness is an absolute necessity. If we do sign him then i hope he can hack it against the lesser teams, especially Bolton!

He would be an excellent acquisition as he has undoubted talent, the only seed of doubt is his injury record. Personally, i'd rather see Martinez here. No doubt Rafa and the lads will give him a thorough assessment. IRWT.

Totally Agree with everything you have just said, sums my feelings up exactly Injuries are a concern, and I would have liked to see Martinez here, but it looks increasingly like it will be Aquilani and I will be %100 behind the lad if he signs.

I'll back him all the way too mate, he has undoubted quality, just hope he doesn't turn out to be a Darren Anderton.

Totally agree with you again we could do with him competing on the pitch and not for the treatment table with Degen, lets just hope our Medical staff give him a thorough going over and make the right decision for Liverpool FC.

I think if we do get this lad it will be an attacking improvement so as long as he can keep fit i am sure he will be a good signing if Benitez chooses him.
Has a lethal shoot is a good technical passer likes to run forward into the box and likes to have a shoot when possible.

      REDS AGREE AQUILANI DEAL
Liverpool FC today confirmed they have agreed a deal with AS Roma for the transfer of Italian international Alberto Aquilani, subject to a medical.
Liverpool concluded their discussions with Roma once the sale of Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid was finally agreed.

Aquilani, who recently celebrated his 25th birthday, is expected to feature heavily for Italy in next year’s World Cup finals.

Rafa Benitez said: "Alberto is a very good player and I'm delighted we've reached agreement with Roma for his transfer. He will travel to Merseyside later this week for a medical. Alberto has a winning mentality and great experience in both Serie A and the Champions League.

"He has long been recognised as a top class talent in Italy, captaining his country at both Under 19 and Under 21 levels before establishing himself in the senior national side."

You're right. Awesome player, but just hoping he'll stay fit for the whole season. But we could buy Aquilani for 15 mil from Roma, Cattermole for 7/8 mil from Wigan and we could still spend 55 - (15 + 7/8) = 32/33 mil on SILVA! GREAT DEAL!!!
