Was just coming in to say the same thing :D

Still think he should go to Adelaide. We wear red, after all ;) But Perth were looking alright last season, might be the spark they need. He scored some crackers for the Fury last season, so he still has it.

Enjoy having a true legend playing for ya Dmasta!

Perth won't win the A-League anyway, Victory will rule next season, no worries.

      Fowler signs for Perth Glory!
Fowler has just signed a deal with Perth Glory!  ;D ;D ;D

This is going to be such a massive boost for Glory and should prove a good move for Fowler as he will get more support than what he had at Queensland Fury.

Perth is rebuilding the club with better players coming through recently that is starting to show promise. Also here in Perth there is a hell of a lot of Liverpool fans and last time Fowler was here he managed to bring an extra 12000 people to the game.

I am so fkn happy today,

      God will bring Glory!

      You from Perth too DOBBS?

I can't wait to see him play live and with a bit of luck Robbie can get some silverware and potentially Asian Champions League qualification (I know I'm getting ahead of myself).

      Aye.

Apparently Sydney offered him 400K and Perth 800K no surprises which one he took then.

      High hopes for Fowler

Perth Glory new recruit Robbie Fowler says he hopes he can help Perth win its first Hyundai A-League championship.

"I am confident at what I can do, and the (Glory) team had a great season last year ā€“ so I am on board and hopefully I can try and better the team and that is the aim," Fowler said.

Speaking at a packed media conference - less than 24 hours after he arrived - Fowler said it was the personal touch of Chairman Tony Sage and the clubs management which made him chose the Glory ahead of a number of overseas clubs.

The fourth highest scorer in the English Premier League, Fowler says heā€™s still wants to score more goals and still hopes to play for another three years.

"I still consider myself young even though I'm not. I love the game and I want to play for as long as I can.

"I think I have got one, two maybe three years playing ā€“ that (coaching) is what I want to do in the end ā€“ but I think I have got a few more years before I am up for the coaching.

"I want to go down that coaching (route) but let me just go out and play first," he said.

Perth Glory coach Dave Mitchell was delighted to have his ā€œgenuine superstarā€ alongside him and agrees Fowler will be a great asset for the club

"You can all see he is very level headed and is a great ambassador for football," Mitchell said.

"It was a great coup for us to get him, he is going to add that little bit of special x-factor that we might have been missing."

Can't wait to see him in play in person.
