Andriy Voronin and Krisztian Nemeth start up front for Liverpool in their first pre-season friendly against St Gallen this evening.

Glen Johnson will make his debut later in the game, with Benitez expected to change his side completely at half-time.
  
The starting XI is: Cavalieri, San Jose, Degen, Insua, Carragher, Spearing, Gerrard, El Zhar, Babel, Voronin, Nemeth.
  
Those expected to feature in the second half are: Martin, Darby, Skrtel, Johnson, Kelly, Plessis, Pacheco, Benayoun, Lucas, Ngog, Gulacsi, Ayala, Kuyt.

Really happy to see San Jose play, i knew one youngster would play with Carra in defence and not to mention Spearing and Nemeth. Especially Nemeth with Gerrard and Voronin aiming for him.

I'd say 3-1 or 4-1 in all honesty.

Our defence are pretty much new to each other (bar Carra and Insua), so I can see them taking a bit of time to gel.

Got my eSeason ticket sorted out just in time...really looking forward to seeing Nemeth starting and to see what Degen looks like.

I'll say 4-0. Gerrard to hit 1, Voro with 1 and the other 2 can be fought over.

So glad that this wait is nearly over. Will be interesting to see how some of the youngsters get on. Mostly interested in watching Spearing, Darby and Krissy Nemeth- really think they are the 3 players that really could push for the first team this season.

Look forward to seeing the lads back in action, especially Spearing and Johnson.

Be interesting to see how Voronin gets on. I wonder if he has improved ( not a chance)

I'll go with 4 - 1, I think Rafa said, it's not the result that matters, although of course we want to win them all, it's all about getting some match practice in and getting the lads up to speed.

Fantastic game isnt it? I love international rules when we get it on TV between Irelan and Australia. Great game to watch and play.

On topic however! I think Voro will shine today. That side is good for him to play with.

On topic I've never seen a few of these guys play so I'll be interested to see how they go (That's if I can of course).

I think I'm going to stay out of the way of the result and then just watch at 9:00pm on LFC TV.
