Just eaten at a new place in the village I live in.  Not impressed.  Overcooked meat & veg, water thin gravy with ruined the yorkshire pudding, turning it into a soggy mess.  The cauliflower cheese was floury, the broccoli stringy and the roast potatoes had a floury texture, were hard and to be honest I think they were cooked from frozen. The home made horseradish sauce was divine though, lovely texture and a lovely spicy tang.

Dessert however was a triumph, a sumptuous New York cheesecake, light, creamy with a subtle vanilla flavour and accompanied with some fresh raspberries and a luxurious dark chocolate sauce.

Hahaha saw your post in the menu and thought it's a nap Gareth's attacking the Welsh lamb again, never mind mate can't go wrong with a leg of chicken and all the trimmings.
Salmon and a Greek salad for me and Liz later, bit rushed today so we had the dinner last night instead - really tender sirloin steak with broccoli, carrots and cheesy tater.

Cheers Stuey, nothing wrong with a chicken dinner BUT, it's not lamb.  Like the sound of your tender sirloin steak though.

Like lamb myself but generally I've found myself getting tired of meat strangely in recent months with the exception of fish (although not wrapped in batter in a greasy fish supper from the chippie)! I think I might be turning vegetarian by my taste buds!

Exactly the same here, was brilliant even though I had to reheat it in the Microwave after work.

Lamb is devine at times but I'm watching my health more now. I stick to white meats. Chicken, turkey, fish
