Perhaps you'd like to name the trophies United & Liverpool have won in the last ten years.  :f_whistle:

What's this got to do with us? Typical Manc, always obsessed about us no matter the situation.

      He's probably going to United.

Who cares, careers go there to die now. The ever revolving door of Man Utd, and Sanchez on £350,000 a week. Pogba's probably on a mint and Flatan who never plays.

Although, this is straying massively off topic. I don't want to laugh at City, I want to laud them for telling Sanchez to f off. Good game at the weekend lads.

Another random one, saw pictures of him signing his new contract, he's right footed but writes with his left hand.

Like myself. Sad to say I can't play like him though! Then again I write with my left, cut scissors with my right, throw with my left, use a tennis racket with my right hand, play guitar with my left hand.

      All over the place really.

You know what I've been thinking.

Why doesn't Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juve etc go and raid the likes of City and leave us alone? Wages?

City would blow the likes of Barca and Juve out the water with a new contract offer.

They are competitive (last season aside)

Continually adding class players as a sign of intent.

Off the top of my head like.

There is also a bit of you don't want to antagonise a beast who could destroy you.

If they wanted Abu Dabai and Quatar could offer the likes of Messi et al £1M a week to prise them away.

Have also thought that, perhaps a bit of a mutual agreement between the two that they stay away from eachother's star players. Barca could go for KDB but as you say, City could easily go for Messi and I don't think Barca would take a risk like that. With us it's different though, there's only 2 teams that can really afford a deal like that and we aren't one of them so Barca have nothing to fear from us.

      Fair enough.

I just get pissed off when we're trying to rebuild we are continuously rinsed of our best players. Let City buy Messi, I'd love to see it. But I see your point though.

Maybe we need richer owners then?  ;)

Do you want that though, just to buy the title with unlimited funds ala Citeh, PSG, or win by creating a really great team with a mix of youth brought through and senior players bought in?

Let's be honest if we're not going to win the league any time soon - I would love to see the world's best player in my lifetime to test himself in the league I follow.

Of course, I would love it to be LFC, but we've got to remain realistic haven't we?

Well actually going back to your initial point is that has already happened my friend.

The right amount of money used on the right players in the right position at the right time. Especially now with players earning wages that some of the greats gone by who could only afford their fish and chips during the week - is sickening.

We're only just catching up to the way it's working by shelling out astronomical wages to players like Van Dijk, here you had to earn that wage. Now they get it to come here, it's ludicrous but it's the market.
