I know what you mean. This is why I've changed my stance as having owners like Chavs & Oil merchants. The days of tradition/home grown talent is gone. You simply buy what owners can afford to buy success. Sad but true.

Glazer Snr was not averse to splashing the cash and transfer records were broken a number of.times under his tenure.

Since he passed away his siblings have been more cautious and big signings are not as common now, the obvious question is of course is if the cash was being splashed as in Glazer Snr era would you still have the same opinion?

Yet what do the media say about it? It was only a few months ago when pundits and press spoke of their outrage and disgust at the shameless greed of Man City, us and the other clubs who signed up to the Super League.

And yet they lap up these Grealish type signings. Heck, I even saw a cringe worthy BBC Sport live updates stream where the author/commentator was goading Nasser at PSG 'to make it happen' in the future pursuits of Ronaldo and other superstar players.

Can't help it sits uncomfortably to what they were crying about not too long back. Or was all that just mock/faux outrage?
