Nahhhhhh. This is systematic cheating across a decade. They've gone out of their way to hinder/stop/not cooperate with the investigation. Money ... 2m, 200m has no impact on them.

Punishment is a points deduction for every season that they cheated and be stripped of the league title if they 'won' it.

They then should be made to pay back their prize money.

And then they should be demoted to the championship.

If the authorities want to send out a strong message that systematic cheating, obstruction and total disregard for the rules of the game and the league then punishment needs to be severe.

What's the f*cking point of spending 4 years ... uncovering severe cheating and corruption and then handing out a fine. A 5m or 200m fine to them is like fining one of us 5 pence.

Unfortunately I don't see anything of any magnitude happening to them.

Twice getting 90 odd points and finishing 2nd sticks in my craw anyway but this makes it worse as Klopp would've had 3 PL titles now even Brendan .If this is proved beyond doubt a points deduction for only this season F***ing stinks and ain't good enough

Not that'd toss them away, but I don't know how I feel about getting awarded titles retroactively. I mean if City cheated, then they cheated for every single game of those seasons. And just taking them out of the equation means who knows what would have happened those years. If City hadn't been there, maybe we'd have bossed the league or maybe we wouldn't have. Maybe we played so incredibly well because we HAD to in order to keep up.

I wonder if they would just vacate the titles for those years and move on.

I think the best thing that could come out of this is if it prevented this kind of financial doping going forward (i.e. Chelsea, Newcastle, etc...).

Oh and relegate City also. See how they do with Pep walking and all of their players jumping ship. They'll never make it back to the top of the PL again I'd wager.

100 charges including this season they have made a farce of FFP rules  . How about the second pay packet Mancini got shouldnt the Tax office be asking questions it stinks but the damage that could be done which ever decision is made just makes the competition a farce.

Man City are a fine commercial machine NOW that they have the players that they can trade. To get there they cheated for 10 years. Simply put - they broke the rules.

This has me almost as angry as Hicks and Gillette - where justice was finally done.
Let's hope the same happens.

Simon Jordan, love him or hate him - was right - they would not have spent 4 years doing this if it wasn't water tight, or you would hope. If they get of scott free then its no wonder FSG and the like are giving up

It's impossible to not come to the conclusion that the club has systematically cheated if the charges are true.

If and that's a big if, they are found guilty they wont get expelled from the league, they won't have any titles taken away and they won't get a points deductions. All will happen is they will get a fine and then they will probably appeal to CAS or whoever it was they appealed to last time and get away with it all.
