they get away with fouls because they always give them away high up in the opponents half. It gives them time to rest and they very rarely get yellow cards again its very cynical use of the rules.

Yup and it’s clearly a tactic they employ, but Guardiola throws a tantrum when he gets pulled up on it. Every club he’s been at has done that, so you can’t tell me it isn’t a tactic.

Kind of caught in two minds about this, simply because I think we should do more of it.

He seems to have some obsession with the media too. Of course they will focus more on us at the moment; we had a 25 point improvement in the league and came back from 3-0 vs Barca to reach a 2nd consecutive CL final. Let's face it too, them winning trophies isn't exactly something worth pointing out as an achievement, it's a minimum expectation given what they've spent.

Feel free to have the media coverage though, won't find us complaining about a lack of it.

Amazing how a manager who inherited Aguero, Kompany, Otamendi, David Silva and KDB amongst others but still had to spend hundreds of millions is deemed as an all time great.
Quite strange how a manager who has struggled in Europe for the last 7 years can turn around and say the CL is less of an accomplishment than their domestic treble. Unless I am missing something and the likes of Rotherham, Newport County, Burnley and whoever else are in fact world class teams that could beat anyone on their day?...
It's amazing how much easier your job is when you constantly inherit world class players from club to club and have unlimited funds to spend.

Tactical fouling has been prevelant on the continent for years. If it means a yellow then it's accepted.

I know mate. It just again showed their lack of class even when winning. They win the treble and he instantly comes out with something to diminish another competitors achievements (whether that be us or Spurs), whilst all our manager said is a congratulations and moved on.

If it was that easy, why hasn’t he been able to do it without having the worlds greatest ever player (plus Xavi and Iniesta thrown in for good measure).

It’s quite ironic really, because they are desperate to be taken seriously, but everything they achieve will always be met with a shrug because it’s expected, there is nothing they can really do that would be met with the acknowledgment of achievement that we’ve seen with past champions.

Just gets worse and worse for them, a £35k fine for the club is hardly punishment though. Rio Ferdinand got an 8 month ban for missing a test, why is the same not happening to the players that missed them for City?

you tend not to get Yellow cards for fouling high up in the oppositions half #(or it at least appears to be this way). If they committed these fouls around their own area they would be penalised more often. They take the rules to the limit and know how and when to foul with the least penalties.
Fenandhino is an expert at this and gets away with it all the time.

probably but he like to protect his legacy. Next season will be much harder than this for City regardless of how they strengthen as they put out very strong teams every game. If he thinks he could fail in anyway next season and if UEFA do the right thing he could F**k off. Time will tell

Does seem like bullshit, but on another hand there could be some truth to it becuase what more can he realistically achieve at City, the CL is always dependent on a slice of luck and there are no guarantees for any club in any year and domestically there is no improvement to be made. Juventus would probably have a better chance of winning the CL than Citeh, Citeh just seem to be jinxed in it.

He just had a season that's almost unimaginable, spent a fortune of money to bring in all the talent you can fit in one side (especially on the bench) and he still only beat us by a point, and not even a sniff of old big ears.

He certainly could be thinking he may want an easier route. At Juve, he could basically boss the league while focusing full strength on the CL. At City he knows to win the league the road will be tougher. Plus I'm sure Juve will promise him a big warchest.

Likely BS but can see it happen, especially if there is any kind of punishment (ha) for City. Just finished his 3rd season with City, after 3 at Bayern and 4 are Barcelona, so timing does seem about right, plus he's already achieved everything domestically with City, back-to-back PL titles and first to do the domestic treble, so other than CL there is not much else for him to achieve with City.

Probably fancies the idea to say he's won La Liga, Bundesliga, Premier League and Serie A domestic titles, which he'd do in his sleep at Juventus. On the other hand, Juve is a bit more of a project with a lot of aging stars and wouldn't have oil money to spend 200M on defenders like he did at City.
