Pellegrini won the league once in 3 years. Pep has won it twice in 4 years, the only other significant trophy Pep won over Pellegrini is 1 FA Cup.

Pellegrini got to the Champions League SF whilst Pep has crashed out in the last 16, and QF 3 times.

Pellegrini almost got hounded out of the club so they could have Pep because he was ultimately chosen to bring European success to the club. So far he has massively failed, made less progress in Europe and only won 2 more notable bits of silverware than Pellegrini in an extra year.

In conclusion, how has Pep kept his job? Especially on the back of a season that saw them spend about £100mill last summer and end up losing the league by about 20 points. This last year they’ve taken a massive backwards step and I think he’s only kept his job based on who he is rather than performance. He was signed by the club to win the CL and he’s failed year after year.  That’s before even taken into account the 800mill he has spent.

I'd take winning the holy grail twice in four years all the time KK. Granted he was brought in to win the CL as its their No1 target rather than the league. Not a bad substitute winning the Premier League  ;D

Perhaps if United can send Ole over to the noisy  neighbors in a straight swap with Pep will catch you guys at a faster pace rather than being in slow mode.  :D

What gets me is  how quickly the City fans have turned against Pep.  :f_doh: Even if his tactics were wrong we all make mistakes and  many now want him sacked.  :o :o :o

I'd jump at the chance of having him at Old  Trafford. The mind boggles  :f_doh:

Careful what you wish for Keith, is Pep in danger of becoming‘Maureen’ part deux, another cheque book manager, it’s starting to look like he could be, where his successes are purely down to spending Zillions,

It looks as though no matter how much money he has at his disposal he cannot build I side that all sing from the same song sheet, it’s as plain as the nose on your face there are too many individuals in his side, they look good when their humping teams with less than half their talent but up against any side capable of putting them under pressure they crumble like the crumbliest crumble ever crumbled in planet crumble,

His tactics last night were damn average, it should for me a total disrespect to their opponents, it looked like his thinking was, oh it’s only Lyon, we’ll piss all over them, their 7th in the top most French league, akin to playing Derby ,
Instead of, this the CL Q final, favourite to go the whole f***in hog, I need to put out my strongest X1, get the game won, he started without, D Silva, B Silva, Mahrez, and the so called boy wonder Foden,

Could you imagine Klopp starting a CL Q final without , Gini, Mane, Hendo, & Bobby ?

And what now of his players, his best players, what are thinking, that our gaffer has once again let us down, can we really trust his judgment when we need it most.

If I were you mate, I’d be looking at those managers who have in recent times stolen Pep’s thunder, managers like Rudi Garcia, Julien Nagelsmann, or even Nuno Espírito Santo, all of those mangers build rather than buy, it’s no coincidence that built sides have a better sense of togetherness than that of a side made up of individual parts,

But you will have to wait for Ole to end his love affair with mediocrity first 🤪

Ultimately if they were happy with just winning the league, they could easily have kept Pellegrini, but he was deemed not good enough to bring the extra success they expected.

(For those who haven't seen it)

Absolutely rattled he is. Sings about Liverpool fans getting battered in the streets, racially abuses his team mate and the only one who couldn't respect a guard of honour.

If you can't take it then don't give it out, you c**t!

He needs to play in another country. Preferably not in Europe So his side don’t have to play us anytime in the C L.
Perhaps South America, China maybe ?
It’s the only way he will find peace with himself. Poor dear.
On the way to rehab I think. Clearly mentally troubled.

Why not a statue for Kompany or Toure, they were arguably more important to Man City.

Maybe because Kompany spent about 3 seasons injured and because Yaya Toure wasn’t there as long and threw his toys out the pram over a birthday cake.
