Hoping he learns a lot and comes back and has a go and try and get into the squad. I think Rafa said he was most excited about Ayala out of all the youngsters.

Watched him for derby against swansea today....and he looked quality.
Composed, strong, good distribution, good tackling and not afraid to come forward.
Reminded me a bit of a combo of lawro and hansen.
Very impressed...with the way he is going I am so looking forward to him coming back next season after a year of great experience.
With wilson doing well, agger getting back to full fitness and ayala looking quality I am very hopeful.
Hate for us to do what the scum did with pique and risk losing a quality Spanish player by not trusting in youth.
Very hopeful for his progress and future at anfield.

I'm bumping this to show some love for the other golden Danny boy.  I still maintain and have for quite sometime now that he's the closest of all our young CBs (Ayala/Wilson/Kelly/Wisdom et al.) to making the breakthrough into the first team on a somewhat regular basis in the CB position.  I have full confidence in this lad to make the step up to being our 4th choice CB (after Agger/Skrtel/Carragher) once the big Greek runs down his contract at the end of next season.  Could even sneak in another six month loan at an EPL club before being bought back to work with Soto on developing his aerial game even further.

If so it's a shame really like vitez said above I personally think he is a great prospect, he has a great brain for a centre back.

I saw this on twitter last night. He also said the same about Ngog and that Dalglish would sign a three year contract tomorrow (today). So I'm inclined to believe it.

The prior post about a San Jose reference makes me think maybe its more like a Pique situation?
I think he has been great at Hull and looked good for us last season when he was given the job.
Agree, its a huge shame but if kenny believes we have better options within the club at present or coming through or he is looking to buy then he must be right.
Even so, I did think he had a good future at Anfield.
If he leaves, all the best. Never a problem and always looked a huge talent imo.

Aww darn. Liked Ayala, don't rate Wilson as much. Hope we have buyback/first refusal/sell on clauses in there, but doubt it.

Just always seemed too lightweight whenever I saw him. Seemed composed on the ball though.
