Happy to see him get a chance hopefully with a good pre season he can be ready to properly compete for a first team place next season.

Do we really need to waste 15m on Cahill when we have this lad?

Thought he fitted in quite well. Kept it simple didn't try nothing that could get him into trouble. Was pretty strong on the ball to.

Solid in the first half when needed and showed some strenght to keep the ball and win a free kick late in the first half

Experience will do him a world of good. Very good at the fundamentals at this level but just a bit more experience will help because sometimes he looked torn on whether to follow a man or stay in the defensive line which created some gaps through the middle.

Nothing came of those gaps but just something for the future i saw. Definitely a quality player in the making and still very, very young.

Well done Dany. Played brilliant for unexperinced & young central defender. Definitely a quality player for future. He needs to push Carra and his company next season.

Thought he did well against Chelsea. He had a lot of work to do but was very assured and calm on the ball.

Didn't actually have all that much to do but he kept things simple with his passes and it's all experience for him.

Think he had a little battle with Dogbreath near the end and ended up putting in a good challenge to put it out for a corner.

Oh, that's the other good news, yes. Dani Pacheco will get an extended contract, Danny Ayala's going on loan to Hull. (@rondeco12) #LFC

      Good news, both parts.

Ayala deserves first team football for sure....so does Pacheco.

Just to expand on the Hull link...

      http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12874_6343124,00.html

Hull City are lining up a move for Liverpool defender Daniel Ayala, skysports.com understands.

Ayala is currently well down the pecking order at Anfield and Reds boss Roy Hodgson is thought to be ready to send him out on loan.

The 19-year-old has made five first-team appearances since his arrival from Sevilla in 2007 and Liverpool are keen for him to get some first-team action under his belt.

Ayala is expected to sign a season-long loan deal at the Championship club as he searches for regular action this season.

Hull boss Nigel Pearson has moved for Ayala after losing Paul McShane to injury and he is hoping to tie up the move before the transfer window slams shut on Tuesday.

Wouldn't mind him going on loan, but if F***ing Purslow tries to sell him too I will go mental.

No doubt just to put him in the shop window. Hope to God not, but i'm not confident we'll keep hold of him.

He has gone out to get some experience and it will do him good. The championship will be a tough test for him. If he was in the shop window, or if he indeed wanted to leave, he would have gone on a long term loan with an option to buy.

He's scored on his Hull debut tonight.

Purslow will have enjoyed that. Might add another £200,000 to the fee we receive in January.
