We have hardly nobody yet, so how do you all see our team shaping up and what is our current best team (I'm excluding alonso in my team for obvious reasons). Skrtel is injured, and arba looks like he is going.

I still rate Arby as the better right back, although obviously people will disagree. And even with all the sh*te that's flying around at the minute Xabi and Masch are still the best options we have for those positions.

Yossi deserves a place in the starting XI after his performances second half of last season.

Riera is the only proper winger we have got so he will have to play IMO.

Anyway, two players short of a title push for me.  If we don't get a decent backup striker and another winger in then sorry but I'll be pretty pessimistic about the season ahead.

I see no reason why Arby has to be strictly used as a right back.. he plays left back when he feaures for Spain very often and made an impressive debut in that position vs Barca at the Nou Camp.. against MESSI!, Xabi and Masch need to be maintained because they are vital in that role in front of Carra and Agger and there is a possibility that both will stay.

And Johnson can also play left back.

Surprised no one else went with Fabio. I think he's one of the best LB's in the league.

Of course this team will change by the end of the transfer window.

i would leave alonso and masch out of the whole squad let alone the starting XI down to disloyalty but at the end of the day like it or hate it they are liverpool players still and the best centre mids at that.

I'm quite happy to have faith in Lucas given his vast improvement towards the end of last season and especially his display against ManUre, plus sitting in the middle just behind Gerrard will inspire confidence in him I would hope.

Johnson and Arby are great right backs but since it seems Rafa is using Johnson on the left so far in pre-season that's where I've stuck him.

I'm un-decided on the left wing but of the three I selected I'd probably use Riera or Benny more than Babel as he's just so bloody frustrating.
