It would be great to see Russell in that car. Some of his quali displays this year have been superb. Can still make the odd mistake during the Grand Prix though which shows his inexperience more than anything. But if Mercedes had long term plans for Russell, then they could solidify them this weekend. Probably the wisest option.

It's the safer option for me with him being the up and coming driver. Much as I love Hammy this weekends race going to be ultra exciting and all for the right reasons.

Would love to see George Russell get the chance in the Merc but as Frankly said I still think Bottas will beat whoever it is but not Max.

Bottas  will still brick it if/when he sees Max over his shoulders, he's yet to get a grip with the track so far. Don't think anything will change this weekend.

I just can't see it mate. Like greyhound racing (( my sport/job )) its one thing doing it in trials and another in racing with so little knowledge of new set up and everyone racing against eachother.  However, lets take nothing away of just how well he's done. Ive backed Max again coz he's out to 3rd fav  At this rate i'll be skint before race

That's my thinking too, surely it's asking to much for Russell to do the impossible. Think bookies have this badly wrong with prices, I hope so for my bank balance anyway. 

At sometime over the weekend Russell will be asked his thoughts for sure, I just hope for Bottas sake it's not in front of him.

Have  we not just witnessed one of the greatest races of all time. I may of lost my money on Max but boy the race more than made up for it.  Driver of the day? Well we all know that's Russell. What a debute  for the young up and coming BRITISH driver. 

Cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a race so much. Boring isn't it!! (( according to some.  )) Ive always though Lando was the faster driver of the two young Brits, suppose we won't know till Lando gets a better car.

Back on to the race it's self, the Mercs must be going ballistic in the background with the cock up on tyres. As for Bottas, he may well collect his P45 when his contract runs out as Russell totally humiliated him on performance and always had the better pace of the two. How is that possible considering he's getting use to different set up?

Truly one of the most exciting races I've had the pleasure of watching. In a way I hope Hamilton not available for Abu Dhabi as I want to see another remix of this race.m
