Another race of having to listen to the forced banter between 'Crofty' and Martin Brundle. Going to be unbearable next season when Sky have full exclusivity of the sport.

Really is a spectacular race track is Interlagos. Sensational cityscape of Sao Paulo for the backdrop, it's bowl shape really feels like your in the crucible of the city. Fascinating race so far - Max looking relentless!

Verstappen takes the lead. Mercedes and Hamilton will be mortified at how easy Red Bull have reeled them in despite Hamilton pitting in for mediums so so much earlier. Got to question Mercedes tyre strategy and management not for the first time in the last month.

Woah! Ocon spins the leader Verstappen and the Red Bull man is back down to second place! That said, Max should have sympathy...given his dad, as a backmarker, fu**ed the leaders' race in 2001! Good thing for Max is, unlike Montoya, he is still very much in this. Race not ruined. Just a setback.

Excellent race that. Lucky for Lewis but he stayed out of trouble and Max didn't. Simple as that. Good to know that we won't see the Red Bull smarm this evening.

Good race by Kimi today. Thoroughly outperforming Seb today. Gap between Hamilton and Bottas far too big for comfort today. Got work to do next season if Valtteri is to be racing for them in 2020.

Surprisingly no Hamilton on that list..

Yeah. Ok a lot of Lewis's team mates have been top dollar but you still would have expected to see him do the clean sweep against Kovaleinen when they were teammates a decade ago.

Sad to see Alonso driving his last race today.

I became a hardcore f1 fan in the year he made his debut in the Minardi alongside Tarso Marques and Alex Yoong!! Been a hell of a journey and whatever you're opinion about him he brought drama (good and bad) wherever he went.

It feels and is ridiculous to say 12 years later that his title win in 2006 would be his last. One of the true greats.

A cry crying shame that we won't see the considerable talent of Ocon in f1 next year while gimps like Grosjean remain glued to a competitive race seat.

Valtteri has been one of the biggest disappointments of the season.

Sorry to say for the rest of F1 nobody will get near Lewis again next year he is just on another level and today was just so easy for him he controlled every part of the weekend.
Hope he gets the recognition he deserves because he is simply in a class of his own he just beat a 4X champion with one hand tied behind his back he just gets better and better I cant speak highly enough of him

Yeah. Lewis won the title with a few to spare and yet Valtteri finishes the season in 5th place. Really not good that. Now all drivers will have bad seasons in their career but when you're in the most prized seat in f1 you can't afford to have THAT bad a season! He was good last season as evidenced by the fact that he saw his contract extended to his year but he's dived this year. Some really poor race craft at times as well - he's either so passive and ridiculously easy to pass or he's colliding.

2019 will be pressure time for Bottas but the reality is he's probably only got the first few races or so of next year to impress at a level where he will be in the discussion for the same seat in 2020. Mercedes will want their driver lineup for 2020 secured by mid season I think so there's not a lot of time or opportunity for Bottas to redeem himself. I'd be surprised if he was still racing for Mercedes in 2020.

It's a shame that Sainz was grabbed by McLaren because I think he'd be ideal for that Merc seat. Had another good race today did Sainz. McLaren have got a good one there for next season.

He's been on another level 2nd half of the season.
Not many drivers out there, it would seem, that can sustain the mental pressure that Hamilton exerts.
I would have loved to see Alonso v Hamilton Part 2 at Mercedes, but that would have been disastrous from a team point of view.
Bottas has offered no threat to him, much in the way that Kimi was an ideal Number 2 for Vettel.
Hamilton V Vettel looked promising this year, but just when Ferrari should have been taking advantage midseason they came undone.
