Solid race yes but should of received a penalty for blocking Hammy. However, getting a penalty round Monza for Ferrari is as likely as a Scouse referee giving a penalty when United are playing Liverpool at Anfield.
Vettel..
How the mighty have fallen. How does a driver deteriorate so much in the space of 6 months or so. Could Hammy one day be in a red car??
No.
Ferrari were hit with the maximum penalty possible at Monza, for Vettel's unique attempt at navigating the Ascari chicane. I haven't seen anyone spin off there since Lap 1 in 1995, after another spin there by Coulthard on the Formation Lap minutes earlier.
It was a busy weekend for the marshalls at Monza, and Vettel got on his soapbox about safety in F1. Reminds me of what Jackie Stewart once said, "the safe driver is never the quick one". Since the Halo gimmick was put on the cars, there has been an overturned car on Lap 1 in Abu Dhabi, a fatality at a support race in Spa, the first on a race weekend in 25 years, and another driver from the same race critically ill in hospital. The gimmick not only looks awful, but it's one more obstacle to a driver getting away safely from a serious incident.
It's a year since Leclerc was announced as Raikkonen's replacement, and Vettel wasn't happy with it. Leclerc won the Italian GP, while Vettel and Raikkonen got severe penalties from the stewards and finished well outside the points. If Leclerc and/or Verstappen were given proper equipment over a season, we would have a proper contest for the title.
