I never properly watched it when it first came on TV 15 years ago but been watching Life On Mars on Netflix the last few days. Great characters all round - love it.

Finished Life on Mars tonight. Phenomenal stuff. Such a great last episode as well, one of the best finales I've ever seen. Perfect characters.

Like yourself I also missed LOM & ashes to ashes  the first time around ,no idea why because I think John simm is a great actor having first watched him in the drama series The lakes by Jimmy McGovern which was excellent, but currently upto episode 3 season 1 and it is compelling stuff.

ITV4: Never Say Never Again, worst James Bond film ever, little fact, Sean Connery wore a toupee in every 007 film he made.

9/11 - Inside the President's War Room on BBC1. Great documentary with incredible photography following President Bush and his entourage that day.

Certainly was. A lot of the contributors in last night's programme were interviewed in the book 'The Only Plane In The Sky'. It's an astounding book and gives us the first hand accounts of so many different perspectives from that day. Bought it last autumn - couldn't put it down. Worth every penny if you come across it Si!

Just finishing the tribute concert now and what a voice George Michael had. Absolutely nailed that.

I agree Si, I've been blessed and lucky enough to see Freddie and George live and they were both truly amazing, the world is a worst place since we lost these two geniuses.

Freddie is one of my all time heroes to be honest.

To be honest I've heard that George Michael performance many a time but in the context of the documentary there you could even tell how blown away the other artists where by how good he was.

No one can be Freddie but my goodness George was close.

Mine too Si, his music will live on forever, he did some brilliant stuff, one of the most magical memories was 'Live Aid' WOW, how awesome was Freddie that day, he had the whole of Wembley eating out of his hand, I will never forget that day.
       George is just a legend...

That about the concert after Freddie's death, didn't see the start, but watched about half of it, very touching and emotive in parts.
