      BENTLEY IN RED
      Mar 25, 2007 12:40:53 pm
After watching the u21 yesterday i was totally impressed by Bentley and think he would be a great signing in the summer he's had a great season and i reckon he could take his ability to the next level at liverpool i reckon 8mil could be tempting but best he's English he could perform on the left or right midfield
      what ya all think

I'd have to disagree, our CENTRAL midfield is packed with great players. On the wings however, we aren't so blessed. The fact that a second striker (Luis Garcia) was our first choice at left wing until he got injured says it all. Kewell's never fit, Gonzales & Pennant are only good enough to be 2nd choice, Riise & Aurelio would be far better suited to playing wing back, and Stevie G should be back in the middle all the time. Trust me, we need wingers.

Bentley was amazing yesterday, if you think about it why did we buy Crouch when there are so many hot youngsters playing for England U21 such as Leroy Lita, Agbonlahor, David Bentley, Ashley Young, James Milner and i think all these players will be better than the current England players in the near future. These players have pace and flair but our current England players have what exactly? Fat Frank who can't hit a cows arse. Englands best player yesterday was a 19 year old and that tells you somethink.

Rafa, time to snatch some young England players because in the near future they will double in price

Bentley is playing very well this year, on the price tag, he would probably been evaluated as an international player so I think it will be more then £8 millions...In the same time, I don't think he would be a good buy for us. What we lack the most this year a 15-20 goals scorer, someone who can  finish like Fowler but 10 years younger..You can play as much quality you want on the left or right but if there is no-one to finish these crosses...

Cy, get yourself out of the old mindset, we've got a bit of money now!

Not saying that Rafa's gonna go mad with it, that's not his style, but either/or situations shouldn't arise anymore. We need two wingers & a striker, and that's what I think we'll get.

Daniel Alves - saw him against Chile and was awsome
Ricardo Quesrma - was better than C.Ronaldo against Belgium
David Villa - One of best strikers in the world
Leroy Lita - Will be a hot prospect, lightning quick
Gabriel Agbonlahor - same as Leroy Lita

      Out
Peter Crouch - Simply no where near lfc standards
Craig Bellamy - Don't like his attitude, also not good enough
Robbie Fowler - Age now against him which is a shame
Bolo Zenden - Why is he even here,i'm 99.9 % sure he won't be here next summer

He did score a good goal on Saturday but if he is such a good player how long would it be before he leaves Fiorentina for Juve, Milan or Inter.its not often a well thought of Italian striker leaves for England look at the problems Maccarone had at Boro.
Paolo how much do you know about Daniele Padelli the goalie we have on loan should we try and sign him permanently?

Daniele Padelli is a good lad from Brescia youth team first. He did play for Pizzighettone FC two seasons ago as a first keeper. Pizzighettone play in C1 (the look of England First Division - league where the greatest team use to send on loan new talents for improve his character and style). Last season he lands to Crotone - Serie B = Championship with a good start. A dear friend of mine is the coach of Pizzighettone Keepers, so I phoned him for news about Daniele. He said is a really good keeper and remarked Rafa shots him before two great Serie A teams asked his sign. I've never seen that lad play on the pitch, only some services on Tv. But he looks great !! My friend guarantee !! He said Benitez strikes again !!

Daniele Padelli (born October 25, 1985 in Lecco) is an Italian football (soccer) goalkeeper. He currently plays for Liverpool F.C., on loan from U.C. Sampdoria

Whilst on loan at Crotone, he competed with Claudio Scarzanella who was on loan from Juventus F.C..

      Liverpool F.C.
On 12th January 2007 Liverpoolfc.tv announced the news that Daniele Padelli would be signing on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal. On the completion of the deal Liverpool FC manager Rafa Benitez said "He's a good young goalkeeper who has been selected for his national side. Padelli will give us a good option for the future. The fact he is once again with the under-21s for his national side tells you that we are signing a very good player."

The annoucement of his signing has been met with a mixed reaction by Liverpool fans as many believe this could also mean the end for promising England U21 goalkeeper Scott Carson at Liverpool.

      [edit] Internationals
An U-20 international in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship, he earned his first U-21 cap against Luxembourg U-21, December 12, 2006, replacing Gianluca Curci on 62 minutes.
