Well he surely needs to find more money from us for doing sweet F**k all

I actually thought he was a good footballer, but as has been said many times, something was surely wrong when so many managers didn't put faith in him. Maybe one day we'll know.

Just glad to be able to laugh it off now, because it was pretty depressing, really.

Aquilani would end up owing us for a testimonial.

Big mistake losing him IMO, was our best creative midfielders aside from Gerrard, head and shoulders above Adam! Also what's the point of getting rid of a player if we are still paying a chunk of wages? May as well had just kept him for that so at least our money is going somewhere! This can literally be classed has paying someone to take him from us!!

      Not good!

Oh I'm sure he and his agent can find a way to ensure Aquilani gets more money of us

The fee we are getting will pay for his wages.

No point being a good player of you don't have any desire to play for the club or in the prem

That's 4 managers who have got rid now

Where did you get 4 managers from?! Once again you are wrong! - Woy, Kenny and Rodgers = 3 not 4.

Ok if you want me to be specific 3 managers who got rid , one who didn't want to play him plus two who didn't want to buy him cheaply.

Now I'm sure you would like to argue about tiny details but he has gone now - that is all that matters now

Yes both Juve and Milan turned down the chance to buy him for a reduced fee.

Or did that not happen ?

You say about our 3 managers wanting to get rid and then jump to talking about Juve and Milan without even mentioning them? I'm not a sodding mind reader pal

The reason he didn't go to Juve has been mentioned so many times on here, all you have to do is look in this thread.

Aquilani is gone - it was one of the worst transfers in our history

Close to £20mil transfer fee - around £5-6 mil a year in wages and we got 20 something games !

He certainly played it very well - and his agent is a wonderful actor

Might have turned out differently for him had Rafa not been sacked, its all by the by now, he's a Fiorentina player and we move forward.

      Simple as that really.

Some you win, some you don't - pick yaself up brush yaself off and get on. Whoever he plays for will F***ing bin him, he's got potential but hasn't got the means to utilise it, they might think they got a bargain but wait and see what they get for their money

im just pissed off that he was shipped out to make way for that totally useless fecker cole. Should of got at least till january to prove himself. Look at last nights game were was we most lacking a playmaker. i guarantee if Aqua wud of come on 2nd half we would of played much better and poor Borini would of got more touches.

Relieved he has finally gone, sad that we will probably never know the truth of what really went on behind the scenes.

Can't say I wish him well as I think he has bent us over for the last few years, or at the very least has insisted on his pound of flesh on leaving.

Never had a chance or never wanted one .....the mystery wrapped inside the enigma that is Aquilani.

Because Aquilani showed he could do exactly that for us in so many scrappy away games

We should move on from this. He was a complete disaster the day we signed him three years back. The fact we're complaining about the inevitable today maybe shows we should show more realism as to the circumstances of this player. Utterly dire stuff from club and player these past three years have been.
