Seems like we had a hundred and one chances in this game but only managed to score two goals  ::)

Still, a win's a win in anybody's eyes, so we march on to play Athletico Madrid on Saturday at Anfield.

I was impressed with Lucas, Babel and Spearing today, all of whom played very well.

And I thought the new white European kit looked very cool  8)

Well played lads, see you at Anfield on Saturday  :kop5cf8koxp6:

Was expecting a few more goals, but it was a good run out for the lads in preparation of the the games ahead for the majority of the match we looked comfortable and dominated Fc Oslo, Pre season taken into account it wasn't bad at all.

Along with the players MsG mentioned, I was very impressed with Kelly as well.  Glad to see him and Spearing enjoying good games.  Negatives were Riera's injury, hope its not serious.  Might give Babel a run in the first team though, been very impressed with his attitude in pre season.

Loved the new kit also. ;)

Martin Kelly was given the man of the match by the official site, he did play very well, nice to see the youngsters breaking through and knocking on Rafa's door.

Saturday will be interesting as I expect Rafa to go with his strongest team, tonight we again were a team of reserves and first team, surely it's close enough now to the opening game and we must see where we lie with our best and prepare them, we have one game left to do this and get it right....

      Well done tonight Redmen!

There were some lovely looking touches whilst attacking. It's a shame we couldn't have bagged about 10 but a win is indeed a win and everyone on the whole had a decent game tonight.

The pace of Liverpool's  play was a lot better tonight and thought we created a lot of chances.

Some good performances from the fringe players but thought Lucas's runs from deep and his passing were great and stood out for me.

Well done and hopefully another good performance on Saturday

With one game left to play before the season starts, I hope the likes of Stevie and Torres tune up a bit. Especially Torres.

But happy about the win and the control of the game as it progressed. Thought Mascherano bossed it and you could see the confidence from him. Kelly had a very good game. Cavalieri deserves a mention for those two superb saves he made in the first half too.

Was sorry to see Riera get injured but hopefully it isn't serious.

I think it's rather apparent that Torres needs to step it up a gear. He has been quiet pre-season.

But Voronin and N'Gog have been scoring. Which means the roles will be reversed come the first day against Tottenham. Always the way. :D

Good result. Another run out.. another cracking atmosphere which further demonstrates our worldwide support and another confidence booster for Ryan Babel who played well. Hopefully the Riera injury is not serious. One more tester before the big first day. El Nino will relish the occasion against Atletico and I'm sure everyone will be ready and very hungry by the time we play Spurs.

Seen the result and not the game from what I have heard Lyn are sh*t and are in all sorts so I was expecting a bigger win.

I see nobody is willing to give props to Voronin for scoring so I will (well done lad), the only thing that does concern me is the lack of involvement from Gerrard and Torres this pre season. Stevie missed the Asian tour and Torres has played in pathces to me this is a bit of a worry as at this stage of pre season you want your key players to work on their sharpness.

We could have won by a bigger margin but the lads weren't really going for hordes of goals, instead they were trying out new things like Benny and Voro were on target but had shots saved because they were attempting to chip the keeper rather than to put the ball in the net.

Keane gonna grab one again is he? :D
This was one of those games where almost every shot was just lacking in the finish, on another day we would have scored 8 easy with this kind of display. The two we got were quality clinical finishes from some players we need to step up which was great, and still loving Babels promising performance :)
And Masch's pass to Doss for the lay off to N'gog, who needs Xabi eh? :D

Still needs to improve on his defensive skill though if he could learn how to tackle he could be a decent backup.
