      Blackpool Have Bid Accepted
Blackpool have had a bid accepted for Adam Hammill, skysports.com understands.

The Tangerines are looking to bolster their options in midfield and are now hopeful of concluding a deal for the Barnsley winger.

The former Liverpool trainee joined Barnsley on a permanent deal in 2009 after impressing during an initial loan spell.

Now he has emerged as one of the most exciting prospects outside the Premier League.

The 23-year-old, though, has a release clause in his contract which enables him to leave for just £500,000.

Blackpool have triggered that option and hope to beat the likes of Wolves, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest to his signature.

No surprise Prem teams are looking at this lad an no surprise Blackpool are leading the chase. They know the lads talent after the few months he spent on loan there a while back.

Adam Hamill will be excellent in Holloway's attacking side.

I would have had him back for £500K

I'd even double it and go a million to get him on left wing. Rather him than Maxi, Cole, Babel or Jovanovich.

. ...and double it again - when you read that who's who of 'wingers'.  >:D

Not ahead of Maxi but definitely ahead of the others and on a quarter of the wages.

Hope he does very well there.

Can he play against us on Saturday? Think it will be pushing it.

Hope not anyway, he would rip us to shreads!

Good luck Adam, easily one of the better players that got away.

I see he has 7 tattooed on his right arm in Roman Numerals. Wonder if that is linked to an idolisation of Kenny

Wish we initiated some kind of Madrid-Getafe-esque buy back clause, would have been worth a gamble to get him back considering how cheap he is, some of his highlights for Barnsley were very promising, think he'll be a good signing for Wolves too, looks very comfortable whipping balls in from wide, seems a very technically proficient player to me.

Hope he does well at Wolves to be honest, we should never have let him go, but we did.

From the little I saw of him today, he looked pretty good to me, keen to get involved from the minute he came on, and put in some nice crosses.

Adam has joined Middlesborough on loan from Wolves

      Adam Joins Boro On Loan

BORO have swooped to sign former England U21 international midfielder Adam Hammill on loan from Wolves for the remainder of the season.

The 24-year-old started his career with hometown Liverpool without making a first team appearance.

He enjoyed loan spells with Dunfermline, Southampton, Blackpool and Barnsley before joining the Tykes permanently in 2009/10, scoring 13 goals in 78 league appearances for the South Yorkshire club.

After hitting eight goals in the first half of the 2010-11 campaign he moved to Molineux for an undisclosed fee in January 2011, signing a three-and-a-half year contract.

He has so far made 19 appearances for Wolves but only three league starts.

"Adam is capable of bringing a different ingredient to the squad and giving us something we've missed for a bit," said manager Tony Mowbray.

"He also has a bit of individuality, he's versatile enough to play in any midfield position and he creates extra competition within the squad."

Hammill was a member of the Liverpool team that won the 2006 FA Youth Cup after defeating Manchester City in the final.

Although he has played for England at U19 level and once for the U21s, he also qualifies to play for the Republic of Ireland.
