Amazing how a few nice words and some well taken goals from a left back can have people forget at times how completely inept he was defensively.

      Legend? Behave.

Gutted. Would have loved to have Riise back. Watched a compilation of his goals for Liverpool on LFCTV, what a F***ing left peg he has!.

Dunno...think he's had his day here to be honest Hardcore.

Good luck to him at Fulham though, think he'll do well there.

He's got a great engine and a good few seasons left in him yet. Wouldn't fit in with the NESV philosophy anyway, so i suppose you're right.

The last thing i want to see though is Risse smashing in a 35 yarder against us for Fulham though, stuff of nightmares is that!.  :couch:

Riise is one of my favorite players, so I would love to have him back at Anfield, even tough I understand he's past his prime and wouldn't help too much right now.

He has agreed a move to Fulham. Was good then faded hence the reason he was sold.

Hope we buy a good right winger, then. Riise's sh*te. Didn't see him tie down an opposition player in two seasons.

Still i respect him and love his passion for our club. Some absolute gems.

Left foot was crazy. Scored tons of goals for us!

I have a friend who trained in the Roma academy around 2009 and he said he John Arne Riise is one of the nicest and friendliest guy you can meet. Talks to everyone and stops to sign autograph all the time for everyone after every training session.

I loved to see him shoot with his left foot. Could have apart torn a few nets.

Good purchase for Fulham. Always felt he was a solid and reliable player for us until his last couple of seasons when he started looking a bit dodgy. Looking back on it now, we'd have been much better off keeping him until we found a better replacement. Aurelio was that player for most of 08/09 but far too injury prone in the end, while less said the better about the others who had a go there. LB is still a position we need to sort.

Who doesn't like John Arne Riise?! Good luck to him! Great to see him back in the Premier League!

The most devastating left foot on him...so devastating it ruined Alan Smiths career with that thunderbolt into his leg a few years back! Awful episode for him but just proved that no one would want to stand in the way of his left foot strikes.
