I wanted an iPhone but knew it wasn't gonna happen because I'm with Orange. I've only had the phone for a week or so, but it's a really good phone, a big step up from my last phone which was a Nokia N95. It's really responsive and quick, it was actually my dad's upgrade but he's an old school kind of phone user so I got it after a day ;D. It's got 2GB internal memory so there's loads of storage from the off. I'd recommend it as long as she thinks she'll be happy with the touch screen and not get sick of it quickly which I haven't. :D

I'm still stuck with this bloody phone until October when I get my upgrade.  :f_steam:

F***ing thing is wrapped in cellotape because the back keeps falling off and the screen's gone all funny too.  Looks like something my little sis made in primary school.

Haha that happened to me, the back falls off too easily and then the battery falls out, so I taped mine up too.

Upgraded my mobile phone contract today, for £15.00 a month I get 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 200 virgin to virgin minutes, I'm quite happy with that.

I was often paying  nearly £30 a month,as I only had 200 texts a month and I was always going over and paying extra for them, and my new contract comes into effect immediately, so I'm a happy bunny.  :D

      I did have a:

But I lost it, so I got a new phone, this brilliant piece of kit:

And lost that one within a week of buying it!! Raging didn't describe my feelings! £150 down the drain  :f_steam:

So now I decided to stick with this, so I won't care if I lose it!

So many people I know have that phone now. Looks a nice one, only tried it once, but i prefer a less rigid format for a touch screen, like that one has a menu and that's it, my samsung jet has widgets so you can move stuff around etc.

Thinking of getting a new one for Christmas.

Not sure out of these  3 at the moment, any help would be appreciated!

(I want pay as you go - a phone that's good for texts and social networking i.e. Facebook - I'll no doubt go for the 'Dolphin' offer which is 300 free texts and free time on Facebook, Bebo and Myspace).

My sister has the Samsung in pink, it's a pretty decent phone,  my mum has the blackberry curve 8900 so I'd say the blackberry or LG GW300 would be best as they make texting so much easier, and blackberrys are fun little phones.

      Nice one mate.

I quite like the thought of having a Blackberry actually, something different.

My dad has one of the upper models and it's quality - but I don't need that.

The other LG one has a slide out QWERTY keyboard too.

I think that's a definate though having a keyboard on it, I just find it so much easier.

Do you know if Facebook is similar to how it is on the PC through any of those phones? I know Blackberry has it's own application for use doesn't it?

Can't afford pay monthly so I'd be looking to pay around what, £300+?

A couple of my mates have blackberrys and they love them, don't know what models they are though.

I had an LG touch-screen phone, similar to the one in this post:

this stupid thing is owned by me :) cant wait to get rid !  :f_steam:

and I hated it.  Useless bit of kit.  Don't know what the models with actual keyboards are like though.

      That was helpful ;D  :f_whistle:
