Just won the 100metres Gold at the World Championships in 9.58 seconds. New world record obviously.

This guy is just ridiculously fast.

He didn't just beat it, he annihilated it.

His nearest rival ran 9.71 and still lost by over 2 metres.

This man is not a man surely he is a robot i think we will never see an athlete like him.

Saw a replay on eurosport this morning.  He is incredible.  They were also saying on 5live this morning that his power, combined with his height (6' 5") and his ability to co-ordinate his actions is such an unusual combination.  Normally sportsmen with his physique, especially from the West Indies, tend to go into cricket or basketball.

I can't wait to see what he will do in the 200m.  I think they had Darren Campbell on talking about him, he reckons that with the right wind conditions, etc, he could go under 18 seconds.  9.7 for the first 100m with the second being done in around 8 seconds, given that he will have a running start.

And the track at Berlin isn't supposed to be a fast track!

Shame he's a Manc fan though.

Not so sure now though! Seems almost a formality that he'll go under 19 seconds, but 18? Scary stuff!
