Pleased to say my daughter has just had her scan which revealed everything is ticking along nicely and that our first Grandchild is a Girl!!  Didn't mind what she was having as long as it was healthy but it will be nice having a girl because our family is mainly male.

After posting in the pissed off thread, this news deserves to go in here.  The brilliant people I work with had a whip round for me and, tonight, they dropped off over £220 for me.  I'm gob-smacked.  I'm a cynical curmudgeon at times, but sometimes the milk of human kindness just hits you.

fantastic news rodders, my first day back at work for nearly 2 weeks after my mums problems and got a really heart warming reception. On top of that got a tax refund of £300 from hmrc

I'm off work for another week after this one

Was in the Grapes tonight with me best mate and as per F***ing usual we ended up making new mates in there. We always do. It's sort of the rule

Anyway, we got gabbing to this French bird (fit) this German bird (fit) and this Brummie lad (who gives a sh*t about him) and just had a scream. We got them speaking Scouse, had debates on the north/south divide, the British monarchy, religion, race and unsurprisingly, the Cup semi tomorrow. (the Brummie was a bent hairdressing Villa fan so I was just taking the piss)

But you know what, put me in a proper good mood it did. Can't meet friendlier people than Scousers as proven when you go down the Grapes (the one just off Rodney St, not Matthew St which is full of dickheads). Even strangers understand the Scouse banter. They struggle with the accent but what d'ya expect with two born and bred Scosuers with proper thick accents.

So rar now I'm in a boss mood. Let's enjoy the night folks.

My wife gave birth to our second son at 3am this morning.  Arrived at the hospital about 2am so fair to say it was the longest and most stressful 60 minutes of my life!

Pleased as punch and very proud of the missus.
