      Glen Johnson = MOTD.

Playing at home against such a defensive side, Rafa did it right to give freedom to the fullbacks, they provided width and gave opportunity to Yossi and Kuyt come back to midfield when required to start a play without losing power on the wings. Loved it.

Nice to see Lucas playing well too :)

      What a performance

And I got Nando Stevie and Johnson in my dream team :lmao: Got a bucket load of points from this performance.

Also Lucas was drool worthy. Done everything right. I don't expect to see Corballyred for a while now

We lacked in areas at some parts of the game... but that was what the doctor prescribed... top result...

Lucas is starting to add his presence in the middle, so who knows, Alonso may not be the big loss that I feared. Tonights result will don our goal difference the world of good.

Chuffed with that. Stoke let me down though. I had 4-1 in the Prediction League

      N'Gog let me down...I had 3-0. :D

Well played everybody. Special mention for Johnson though who was awesome going forward and solid at the back. Only disappointment for me was the crowd, who were shockingly quiet. Getting outsung at the end by Stoke fans losing 4-0 is a bit embarassing but apart from that, the lads on the pitch were very good.

didn't see much of it due to terrible internet stream.  but Johnson sounded great as did Lucas.  Ayala seemed to cope well as Stoke can be very physical.

also just found out that there's a MOTD on tonight. so get to see the reds score 4 and watch the scum lose!!!!!!! the evening just gets better and better!

The most important about this victory is recovery of the confidence, indeed.

And of course, thanks a lot to Burnley as they did an aditional job for us ;)

I think the team worked as a unit today and it was a great win our attacking play was immense and we scored a phenomenal team goal without "the pass master" so i think we are always going up and every player is improving Ayala looks a completely different person from his game against Athletico he has really came along and for Lucas just brilliant. Do not want to start talking about Johnson though i could be here for a while a truly magnificent performance from the lad well played :D

Great response from a woeful display against Spurs.

Johnson was an absolute machine and to me it seems as though for the first time in a long time we have 2 full backs who are brilliant at bombing on and joining the attack (Insua not so much as Johnson but he is getting there!).

Ayala was really impressive, was unsure when saw him in the line up but if he starts the next game i will be less anxious about it. So much better than San Jose.

Ohhh! I can't choose MotM, it's between Johnson and Lucas.

Benayoun, Gerrard, Torres, Kuyt and Ayala were also great, but Lucas and Johnson were head and shoulders above the rest.

Great way to respond from Sunday. Was a lot of doom merchants aroud then hopefully they will be more at ease tonight  :f_tongueincheek:

From what I managed to see Johnson was quality while Ayala stood strong. Masch looked on form as well and a couple of top saves from Pepe

Delighted for N'Gog. Has his doubters. I personally believe we could do with a more experienced striker but if he can nip in with a goal every 3 or 4 games he will be doing his job

      Well done reds.

Sorry forgot to mention Lucas solid display
