Champions league draw 09/10 [27 August - 5pm]

Just saw the draw.

Decent draw I think. I don't know what to make of it though, having never faced all of the sides before. Lyon would give us a tough test, Fiorentina are decent but would they be able to cope with our premiership-styled footy? Italian leagues are slow so till we face them, we'll never know what we might expect. Debreceni, no idea, never even heard of the team before - does it mean that its going to be easy?

Roll on the CL season!

Id like to point out that we play Lyon at home on Tuesday the 20th October. The following night utd play in Mosscow. We play them at Anfield that Saturday!! No travel for us and an extra days rest!!!

Lets hope it is f**** freezing in moscow as well. Home start against the weakest team in the group, Home then away against Lyon in the middle, with a Home finish - can't really complain about that.

How does the other fixtures tie in to the premier league schedule ?

Actually Lyon is a team i have not watched alot of, apart from highlights of the Ligue 1 occasionaly, so i am very interested to see what they are like. It is nice to get a draw with teams we have not seen really, in awhile anyways. Makes it interesting, looking forward to it!

Im happy with the draw but weve still got to be careful, if we go about it the way we know we can play we'll have no trouble. But first things first and lets get our league programme back on track.

Not too fussed with the draw. As DLS and Eem said, I don't give a rats about who the other teams got, just hope they fail.

Seeing as the first tie is on the 16th of September, that gives us around 3 weeks to fully concentrate on our Premier League matches. If we can get our form sorted in them then I have no doubt we'll hit the ground running in our Champs League matches.

Happy enough with our group, could have been worse i suppose but looking forward to getting started :D

yeah me 2 could have been alot lot worse! ...good test really champions leauge is never gunna be easy and im sure the boys can handle a bit of italian and french competetion
