i personally wouldnt sell him but with only 1 year left on his contract and him in no hurry to sign another we may be left with no choice i think with mascherano we have a ready made replacement albeit he is a different type of player than xabi.

If were selling Xabi to get Eto'o part of some kind of deal then we need to look into it, otherwise Barca can forget about him.

Well obviously it's going to be Zenden...
I do deserve a prize my friend. :D
See if you can persuade JD to give you that mug before it wings it's way down under to mattmcg.
He seems a bit miffed... ::)

Who will score Liverpool's next goal?

Reply to this post with your answer. In the event of a tie...we'll do a draw.  Everyone welcome...let's hope someone from the UK wins or the mug will end up costing me double in delivery!

I'll go for Dirky baby. He is due a goal or three!! Australia as well for me mate!!  ;)

Well nobody got Arbeola, so I guess Dirk was the 'next' goalscorer after that.

Bugger.  Got to send it to Australia.  Have you not got any relatives in the UK that would want it?  ;)

No a deals a deal.  PM me your full address and it will probably be there in about 3 years!

      Well done mattmcg.

We have 4 of the best central midfielders in the Prem and possibly the world.

      Stevie, Xabi, Momo and Mascherano.

Let's keep it that way. No more selling, no more buying, the central midfield for once is perfect.

someones got a brain we shouldn't even be talking about central midfielders it's up front where we're lacking we have the best midfielders in the prem now we need goals out with fowler and that waste of money bellamy. no more sh*t buys or getting players who are second best more aggers and sissokos and less palettas and pennants

Hold on players take time to settle in right? Agger started off really badly last winter and Momo didn't start off too clever either.

Paletta is a young defender who plays for the reserves (he came straight from Argentina)
Pennant is a new player who needed to adapt to our style, 2nd half of season he's been one of our most impressive players belive it or not.

      No, f***in love alonso

As for pennant, think he's getting slightly better, paletta is still young and with agger and carra and now arbeloa (although still haven't seen him play CB yet) I don't think we've got any worries in defence

You said better than most of our players.

Better than who?  Reina? Finnan? Carragher? Agger? Arbeloa? Riise? Gerrard? Mascherano? Alonso? Crouch?

The point isn't 'who has improved the most'. Its not  sports day at school and even the fat kid is going to get an award. The issue is is he good enough to wear the shirt....the answer is a resounding no. He tries, he is enthusiastic but is he the way forward? NO

No, we're talking about sports day at school  ;D

I went to my little sisters sports day last year, I couldn't believe it, it was all throwing bean bags into buckets & walking across a beam without spilling a bucket of water. Last time I checked, neither of these 'sports' were at the olympics. Bring back the 60 yard dash I say. What is the world coming to?
