i personally wouldnt sell him but with only 1 year left on his contract and him in no hurry to sign another we may be left with no choice i think with mascherano we have a ready made replacement albeit he is a different type of player than xabi.

As for pennant, think he's getting slightly better, paletta is still young and with agger and carra and now arbeloa (although still haven't seen him play CB yet) I don't think we've got any worries in defence

No, we're talking about sports day at school 

I went to my little sisters sports day last year, I couldn't believe it, it was all throwing bean bags into buckets & walking across a beam without spilling a bucket of water.
