Reading 1-2 Liverpool (FA Premiership 7/04/07)
      Apr 06, 2007 03:04:47 pm
      Madejski Stadium
      Saturday, 7 April
      Kick-off: 1500 BST

Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy is pushing for a start after missing the last two matches with a rib injury.

Mohamed Sissoko is available again after missing the PSV match through suspension, but Fabio Aurelio is out.

      1. Won just two of the last six Premiership matches.

      2. Looking for a 18th top League victory of the season. Only Manchester United (25) and Chelsea (22) have won more.

      3. Managed 17 Premiership shut-outs. Only Chelsea have registered more (19).

      4. Conceded just 21 top flight goals, at one every 133 minutes (two hours 13 minutes). Only Chelsea have a better record with 19 shipped (one every 147 minutes).

      5. Conceded only once in the first 15 minutes of a Premiership match this term. Only Chelsea can match that.

      6. Boast the strongest defence in the last quarter-hour with just four goals shipped in that Premiership time sector.

      7. On the joint longest current run in the Premiership without a score draw of 23 games, since ending 1-1, home to Blackburn on 14 October.

      8. Only sixth best away from home in the highest echelon with 18 points from a possible 45.

      9. The return leg with PSV follows this, before a League visit to Manchester City. Other Premiership fixtures in April feature successive home clashes against Middlesbrough and Wigan and a trip to Portsmouth.

Score predictions?  2-1 to the reds.  Agger and Bellamy.

We need a victory otherwise the Arse will probably recapture 3rd spot off us.

I'm a pessimistic sod sometimes and although my heart says a trouncing will be handed out I'm going for a 2-1 win (i nearly went for the draw!! :o ) with Bellamy and Gerrard scoring.

Reading have had a great season, personally I expected them to stay up, but not as comfortably as they have.

However, recently they seem to have taken their foot off the gas a bit, and it could be the perfect time to play them. I would've liked to have seen us line up 4-3-3 for this one, but Kuyt has looked knackered recently & I think he could do with a rest.

I'm going to go 2-0, Crouch to maintain his goalscoring form with the first, and Gerrard to net the other.

Peter Crouch and Craig Bellamy will lead the attacking line for Liverpool at Reading this afternoon.
Sami Hyypia returns at the heart of the defence in place of Daniel Agger, while Momo Sissoko is back in midfield alongside Javier Mascherano.

The Liverpool team in full for today's clash is:

      Reina
      Arbeloa
      Carragher
      Hyypia
      Finnan
      Gonzalez
      Sissoko
      Mascherano
      Gerrard
      Crouch
      Bellamy

      Subs:
      Dudek
      Agger
      Riise
      Pennant
      Kuyt

Erm, anyone know why Alonso isn't even on the bench?

Most of us are watching the match mate its on Star sports, we are in red and after playing well first half we have let them back in and we are looking a little ropey, Sissoko just got booked and he had better watch himself.

its was almost too hard. i'll give em credit though, they did battle PSV a few nigts ago, but that was no competition.

and guess what?? espn isn't going to show LFC v. PSV on wednesday. i'll be forced to watch milan v. munich. wonderful...:(

Great victory and credit where credits due I’m normally Pennants biggest critic but the lad played well. Fair play to Reading it was so pleasing to see a recently promoted side playing decent open football and not just sticking 10 men behind the ball and defending. A testament to Steve Coppell and his well organised hard working side which resulted in end to end stuff.

      I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Although it’s easier praising the opposition because we won, if we had of lost, they would have been the biggest shower going  ;D

made even sweater by Arsenal and the mancs losing.  :P

Well all the sides challenging for the title have the knack of winning when they don't play well.  Didn't Chelsea get a last minute 1-0 win last week, and as for United.  It's what the good sides do.

Reading had chances to win the game but we held on and grabbed the winner.  Opened up a little mini gap now between us and Arsenal, good to see Kuyt get his 10th goal in the Premiership.  But, oh, for the days of a 25 goal a season striker!

A good win, let's try and get a few more under our belt and cement our Champions League qualification.

Yes its free just install the software for Sopcast and TV ants as these are the most used when streaming football from ESPN or star sports. If its not working read all the guide and check you have set it up properly, you will find links to games from this site or if you google it you will find many more.
