The Blues failed to bring in a big-name signing before the transfer window slammed shut on Tuesday despite being linked with a host of players.
Chelsea managed to tie down key trio John Terry, Ashley Cole and Didier Drogba this summer and Kenyon believes securing the side's best players is as important as bringing in new faces.
"I think there's been a lot of emphasis generally around football on transfers, but we've added to our squad," Kenyon told Sky Sports News.
"We've been quiet, but we got the players we wanted.
"If I look at Didier Drogba, if I look at Ashley Cole, if I look at John Terry those are players who could walk into any other team in Europe."
Impact
Kenyon believes new Blues coach Carlo Ancelotti has had a positive impact in West London, with Chelsea enjoying a fine start to the new season in winning their opening four Premier League games.
"Carlo's made a big impact already, he's an experienced manager. He's done it as a player, done it as a coach and he's really engaged in playing in the Premiership," noted Kenyon.
Kenyon is confident Chelsea will enjoy success under Ancelotti and believes they can achieve a clean sweep of all honours, with the coveted UEFA Champions League crown at the top of their wanted list.
"We think we can win everything, but I think the reality of that is there is an added edge.
"I was at the Champions League draw with John Terry last week and John made the point he is fed up walking past the trophy, he wants to pick it up.
"That is the desire we've got at Chelsea."
