      Can't wait.

      I know it doesn't mean much for most of you but here it's like the biggest game in the world, so I had to create a new thread ;D. Our rivalry with Argentina is huge, and with Maradona saying a lot of crap about Pelé (who replies with even more crap) and all that stuff, hahaha, I just can't wait!

      Should be a great game... it's gonna be on Saturday, if anyone is interested ;)

      I have a childhood hero on the enemy's side now - former argentine player Mancuso (the older ones might remember him from the World Cup 94) who I loved from the time he played for Flamengo, became Maradona's assistant inthe Argentine team. Today he described Brazil x Argentina as "the most important game of the history of the world"  :o

      It's a shame Juan is recovering from an injury and probably won't play, so Dunga must give Luisão another chance... which I will never understand, he is rubbish.

      Masch is their captain and is certainly going to play... on the other hand, Lucas is in the squad but I can't see him starting the game. Brazil's midfield will probably be Gilberto Silva - Felipe Melo - Ramires (Elano) - Kaká.

      Sorry Diego but I have a €50 double on Liverpool to win the league and Argentina to win the world cup. By the looks of things Argentina are struggling to qualify for the finals, What was I thinking???

      Anyway, I'm supporting Argentina. Big game for them as they're struggling and I don't want Masch to miss out on a chance to lead his country at the World Cup.

      Gilberto is playing as a holding midfielder.i can wait for this game,so much better than watching England anyday.

      Haven't Argentina been playing with only 3 defenders recently? I know Masch is good but i really hope they don't do this against Brazil

      Yeah exactly, we don't. Gilberto is what we call the "first def mid", Felipe Melo the 2nd one (who goes forward more often). I read somewhere Elano will be playing against Argentina. As much as I like Ramires, Elano has much more experience for that game, may be a good decision... I hope so.


      And you people don't think I will forget all that Argentina support here  >:(  All on my black list now   :P

      Right then it should start at 8:30am in my country.. For once a game is in the morning! Seeing that there are no EPL matches this week I might just catch it.

      Pardon me for my ignorance, but is this a friendly?

      Should be a cracking game have never seen Argentina and Brazil square up before.

      PS: Don't take offence with my new avatar Diego! I'm not taking sides for this game - I don't really support any internationals except my own country, and for World Cups/Euros I prefer support Spain. That's about it.

      Nope. The computers at bookies offices can't comprehend Odd's that long. Even tougher to fix that than the Y2K bug.

      Top 4 qualify automatically, Brazil are top and Argentina are in 4th.

      Rafa recently said Maradona is monitoring Insua's progress, but he hasn't been called for the national team yet, only the youth sides.

      The game is gonna be 9:30 PM here. If I'm not mistaken, 1:30 AM in England, like someone said.

      It sucks btw. Football game on a Saturday night?! I'm not going out tomorrow then, no way I'll miss that game.

      Some of our games are at this hour for me. It's even better when its at 2:45-3:45am in the morning, especially on a school day.

      Means no sleep for the day, got to be up supporting the Mighty Reds. But as its Argentina v Brazil - I'll understand! :D
