He has to be one of THE fairytale stories with that kind of story coming into the league right? Im aussie so my history knowledge of the NFL is limited, but that is a real underdog story if I ever heard one.
W/out a doubt he was a shock to the league. But, the greats of the game are not always the best college players.  The Hall of Fame is full of players who had an ok or mediocre College career. I think Brady is number 1 on the list. He has pretty much already secured a Hall of Fame ballot.  (3) Superbowl Rings is pretty much a free ticket to the Hall.  Not to mention his passing numbers and career totals. Even if he never got a Superbowl win, If he continues for the next 3-4 seasons with these stats and passing numbers he can make the Hall of Fame. He's that good.  I would really like to see what he does in the next few years. This core team has lost a lot of players and coaches. I'm curious to see what he does with less talent around him.  It's pretty easy to win games when you have the best WR's and Offensive Linemen, best Defense, best Running backs and Special Teams....The Patriots were that good.

Yeah, big thing is now Brady really leading this new era in. Another big test for him, along with the injury comeback. Doing ok at the moment too, last few weeks has been Brady of old, breaking records and all that jazz.

Looking forward to the Pats game this weekend, and the Ducks in NCAA. Two teams on a good run at the moment, loving it.

Ducks defense no where to be seen at the moment, frustrating me to all ends  7-17 down at the moment, and about to be more i think, Stanford on another good drive. I just hate in sports when a team can be so good for weeks, then fall apart like this. Game could be over by half time if they keep going this way.

That Toby Gerhart for Stanford is a damn good rusher though, he's one to watch.

      "Dear Oregon Ducks,
I love you guys, great & entertaining team. Love your offense, always good. But there's this little thing called defense that is also a CRUCIAL part to winning a football game.
      Ok thanks bye."

Patriots ground out a solid 17-27 win against the Dolphins today, one fantastic touchdown when Brady passed to Moss. Moss broke free of his marker and then ran 70 yards for the TD, the kinda TD that gets ya fist pumping :D

I actually did literally beat my head against the wall :D Led the whole game basically too. Snuffed almost all hope of home field advantage if we make playoff anyways.

Patriots back to winning ways today, 14-31 over the Jets. Welker 192 yards, big game for him.

It was, a lot better than when they beat us week 2 :D Welker was the difference, he was out of that first game and all they did was cover Moss the whole game and cut our options. This game, they still went with coverage on Moss and it worked mostly.. but then there was Welker running for space whenever he wanted! Brady had a lot better cover in the pocket this game as well, allround better team performance.

We got the undefeated Saints for Monday Night football coming up now.. gonna be a big game.

Big showing by N.O Saints...This was a big test. They are certainly for real.  They win against the good teams and crush the bad teams.  They held the Pats to 17 and scored 38.  Drew Brees is UNREAL.  He's putting up legendary stats this season.  Personally I think he's the best QB in the league. Debatable, certainly?..But you cant compare numbers. 2700+ plus yds, 22 TDS and only 9 Int's.. He threw 5 TD;s against a solid NE defense.

Now is crunch time. Usually once you hit the 11-13 - 0 records teams begin to feel the pressure of an unbeaten season. We'll see.

Have to say i wouldn't call the Pats defense "solid". Have been in the past, but this year is a bit of a new lineup and we have had some issues. And tonight was shocking, to say the least. Bad coverage was just one of the issues that befell our performance tonight. Really need to pick it up, the talent is there, just needs to get into cohesion. Kind of like Liverpool. Tonight was especially bad, i think on a different day Brees may not have found it so easy.

Good shout the Saints for the Bowl though, and i certainly would rather them than most. Just would like them to drop a game on the way ;)

Strange thing about this league, any team can beat any team. Wild card teams have won the Superbowl and the Undefeated teams lose. Right now is when we begin to see where the teams really are. Naturally you would think N.O and Indy are going to the Superbowl, but who knows?

Minnesota are my dark horse. Favre is still throwing as good as any QB playing at the moment.

Big college game here where I'm living. The Civil War, Oregon vs. Oregon State. As serious as the mersyside derby here, and even more so as this also decides the winner of the conference as both have finished top of the Pac-10. Atmosphere when I was in Eugene for college today was electric!
