Massimo Moratti Plans New State-Of-The-Art Stadium For Inter - Report

The Beneamata are looking to move home within the next five years, according to reports in Italy...

Inter president Massimo Moratti is pushing forward plans to build a new stadium, according to Ilsussidiario.net.

The report claims Moratti is busy carrying out the early spadework, with the new venue potentially completed by 2014.

Inter are keen on having a stadium that meets all their modern requirements. A 60,000 capacity building is being mooted, and it will have many luxuries for fans, including heated seats.

Moratti will invest around €300 million in the new arena, and he hopes to make that back within in three years of completion through gate receipts. The club plans to generate €100m-per-season in stadium-related revenue, compared to €30m at present.

The new venue is likely to be modelled on English stadia, meaning no running track. Over the years Inter have shared the Giuseppe Meazza - more commonly known as the San Siro - with rivals Milan, but the idea is to move away from council owned stadiums.

Juventus are already building their own stadium, having bought and begun regeneration on the old Stadio delle Alpi. Their new arena is expected to be complete in 2011.

Other clubs who reportedly have plans for a new venue in the future are Lazio, Roma and Genoa.

So these Italian clubs that make less revenue by gate receipts than us can afford to build a stadium with 60,000 heated seats, yet the two fuckwits in charge of us haven't even put a F***ing spade in the ground.

      They can F**k right off.

Hopefully it's a nail in the groundshare coffin as well!

It is after-all Bradley's favourite argument "The big Italian teams like Inter and AC share."

Yeah but for not much longer nobhead.

      Spot on.

Interesting to see that though, Inter moving on. Also interesting to see them modelling on English style stadia. Whereas English clubs (Arsenal for example) are modelling there's on foreign stadia. :D

I can smell an Italian World Cup/Euro's bid coming on.

Has nobody told Inter Milan about the 'difficult' economic conditions?

Not only did we get the wrong owners, we even got the wrong American owners.  That Kraft fella bid around £10 billion today for some bars of chocolate.

Moratti is a fecking oil tycoon that has intimate knowledge about football and has love for his club.
