      Grand National 2007
      Apr 13, 2007 03:37:05 pm
Any tips for the race then?

      I quite fancy:

      Long Shanks (!) - 25/1
      Eurotrek - 18/1
      Homer Wells - 33/1

Victor Chandler are doing a great bet deal.  If your horse falls you get you money back.  Well worth checking out if you are having a flutter.  (My horses usually do end the race on their arses).

Reckon the Shanks one is going to get a bit of backing.

      Simon.  Great name.

Has there ever been a Mr Ed race in the National?

I've done Eurotrek, Long Shanks, Ballycassidy and Graphic Approach.

I think a lot of reds will be putting some dosh on them first two.

Did anyone just see Coleen on BBC1 presenting the award to that fella for 'best dressed nobhead or something'.

They asked her why she wasn't at Villa Park supporting Wayne.  She said she would rather be here (Aintree).  Maybe she's not such an idiot after all.

Good one.  Thanks for posting your selection after the frigging race!

      I didn't have anything.

Funny though - my dog had picked the winner.  He's picking the horses next year.

I had each way bets on Eurotrek and Simon, both at 16/1.

Simon was going really well in 2nd when he fell with just a few left to jump  :'(
