Pirates of the Caribbean 4 or 'Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides' trailer has been released.

No Orlando Bloom or Keira Knightley in this one, though there is the new addition of Penelope Cruz.

Out 18th May in the UK I think, here's the  the trailer (I've no idea what the 1st minute is about!) :

NEW Official Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides Trailer -- Official Disney UK Trailer

I'm sure I'll be going to see it but don't think it will be as good as the first 3.

      What do you all think?

whatever ye go see, do not go to Rare Export: Christmas Edition or whatever it's called. The main point of the title is Rare Exports anyways, It's a Christmas film but its shocking. I starting laughting half way through it as it had no storyline, direction, actual quality acting or twist?!

Danny Boyle: Trainspotting sequel 'will happen'

Danny Boyle has given his strongest indication yet that a sequel to his cult film about Edinburgh drug addicts, Trainspotting, may yet find its way to the big screen.

Speaking to cinematical.com, Boyle said a follow-up to his 1996 movie, which starred Ewan McGregor, Robert Carlyle and Jonny Lee Miller, "will happen", though he declined to set out a timeline. The sequel would be based loosely on Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh's novel Porno, though Boyle said he did not consider the book to be as good as its predecessor.

"It will happen, I think," said Boyle. "I mean, we'll approach them all again about it, but it will depend on what place they're all at.

"We have a very strong idea that it would be a wonderful thing to do again when they have aged clearly into a mid-life crisis. They're not quite there yet, I don't think."

Boyle added: "The book Porno is not a great book in the way that the original novel is genuinely a masterpiece. But we have been doing some work on it, and it's got potential. And when the moment's right, I think we will approach it."

The Oscar-winning film-maker said the original cast did not look old enough to play ageing versions of Rent Boy, Sick Boy and Begbie, despite Welsh's novel being set only a decade after Trainspotting. Porno sees the characters, along with the hapless Spud, becoming embroiled in a scheme to raise cash by making a pornographic movie.

One of the major obstacles to a full cast reunion is McGregor, who fell out with Boyle after the director replaced him with Leonardo DiCaprio in 2000's The Beach. "Danny and I don't speak, we haven't spoken for years," McGregor said last year. "There was a falling out of sorts over The Beach and that was quite a messy and hurtful time."

That is F***ing brilliant. Agree with what you said HR. Porno was a great book and I'd look very much forward to this. Trainspotting is one of my favorite movies and books, not to mention being one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard.

      I hope this happens.

Based on the life of Mickey Ward, with Mark Wahlberg playing Mickey ward and Christian Bale as his brother and trainer and also based around the fights he had with Arturo Gatti.

Should be an excellent film and I agree Bale is usually top notch in any movie.

But I'm looking forward to this because the three fights Ward was involved in with Gatti were F***ing awesome!

The Karate Kid (it's the 80's all over again with this & the ATeam....) even got it's own Wax on, Wax off style routine

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jy3TwgpOfr0

Saw that recently......let me get this straight - it's about a kid who learns kung from a kung fu master because some kung fu students beat him up. His kung fu teacher trains him for a kung fu tournament so they call the film.....the "karate" kid!??!?!!??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Saw it at the cinemas. He made an 80-year old hard man look very believable.

I think you are the same one who thought Johnny Depp was a sh*t actor right? No offense, but i won't be taking anything you say about movies seriously from now on ;D

I'm not sure if I said he was sh*t or not but I definitely dislike his films as he nearly always plays exceedingly camp characters. Differences of opinion are allowed I believe, so I won't necessarily ignore your posts just because you love camp films.... ;-)    each to his own..

Saw The Fighter last week - a truly brilliant film. It's been compared to the wrestler but it's way WAY better.

Everyone i know who has seen it has said the same thing - the Wrestler i saw bits of and never liked what i saw, but this movie just the trailer has me really interested.

Obviously i haven't actually seen it yet though, as i predicted. Ended up seeing True Grit (brilliant) and then the missus chose to see Black Swan (also brilliant) - but probably gonna see something for my birthday so The Fighter it will be if we do!

I thought The Wrestler was really good, but Mickey Rourke made that movie, it's like he's made for that part. Besides that the story wasn't all that amazing. It's mostly just a realistic character drama, but I did really enjoy it even if wrestling isn't my thing at all. Boxing is more my thing, so The Fighter has that as a big advantage for me. Looking forward to see it. Interestingly enough, the director of The Wrestler and Black Swan was originally also set to direct The Fighter.

Mila Kunis Melts for Role of Wicked Witch of the West in Sam Raimi’s Oz, the Great and Powerful
The Hughes brothers' loss appears to be Sam Raimi’s gain: Vulture hears that Mila Kunis is walking away from Warner Bros.' live-action remake of Katsuhiro Ôtomo’s 1988 manga epic Akira and instead intends to star opposite James Franco in Raimi's Oz, The Great and Powerful, the prequel to the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz.

The closely guarded Oz script, reimagined most recently by playwright turned screenwriter David Lindsay-Abaire (Rabbit Hole; Inkheart), tells the story of the origins of the Wizard, and of Oz's infamous witches like Glinda, who becomes the Good Witch of the North, and Evanorah, who becomes the Wicked Witch of the East (though best remembered as the new, ruby-slippered sub-basement of Dorothy’s farmhouse).

After a recent meeting with Raimi and Wizard James Franco, all agreed that Kunis would be perfect for the part of Theodorah, the younger sister of Evanorah who goes on to become the Wicked Witch of the West and, of course, to cackle iconic lines like, “I’ll get you, my pretty … and your little dog, too!” With her involvement assured, we're told that Franco finally agreed to do the picture.

Still, you can’t blame the Hughes Bros. for a lack of trying to land the star of Black Swan. We’re told by knowledgeable insiders that director Albert Hughes had been pleading with Warner Bros. senior management to let him cast the best possible actors, regardless of their worldwide profiles — or lack of them. But Akira is such an expensive movie, the studio is insisting on a massive star to anchor the film. So much so that earlier in the week, Warner Bros. president Jeff Robinov phoned up Brad Pitt himself and offered him the lead role of Kaneda. Because the studio didn’t allow Hughes to cast whomever he wanted to in the lead role, we’re told Robinov relented and allowed Hughes to make the offer to Kunis to play Kei, the gorgeous young revolutionary with whom Kaneda becomes enamored on his quest to find his disappeared best friend.

But when Pitt passed on Akira two days ago, it threw the immediate future of the Hughes' project into disarray. Because it’s not yet clear which Big Movie Star would be both right for the Kaneda part and available to play it, just when Akira might fire up production remains unclear. And in that state of uncertainty, we hear Kunis is committing to starring in Oz instead: Shooting is set to begin this July at the Walt Disney Studios.

“Oh, what a world! What a world!” indeed.
