How fast's your broadband?

Finally got myself a better broadband, currently 37Mbps. Not bad for someone who was used to <10Mbps.

My dad's so rural that his broadband speed is slower than dialup!!  Takes about half an hour just to load up his homepage.

Admittedly it's not that slow I have a powerful laptop which helps, but it does get annoying at peak times which can make streaming games laggy.

It's a nightmare mate though it doesn't help that he insists on having all the latest software installed on hardware from the 90's

Yep, 3COM. It's usually not that bad, but it's still poor at the best of times. Luckily it's only for the weekend and not everyday.

Yup, so far anyway.

My best is pretty similar here in Rhode Island at 46 down, 9 up. I seem to average about 32-35 down, 6-7 up.

Already happy with this, but I just got an e-mail saying they're upgrading it to 150 Mb/s sometime this month, which is pretty awesome.

Been looking at fiber optic, which I have access to since this year. 500 Mb/s download AND upload. I really want it, but it's still too expensive, like 85 euros a month. Although that does include TV too, I pay half that right now for my package including TV so yeah. I hope by next year the price will have dropped enough for me to consider it.
