How fast's your broadband?

Wireless router isn't the best - far better when plugged directly in.

hi i test the speed of my internet in many sites i got the best speed results from here http://www.scanmyspeed.com/
my results are
download=1.09Mbps
upload=0.87Mbps
i dont know the reason why my speed seems to be slow many of them said that if Cable Internet services share bandwidth with satellite Internet access.
If there are many subscribers using that same bandwidth, it can slow down the connection. kindly guide me how to solve this problem .

Back on Virgin:

The maximum speed I've been quoted is 2.5MB as I can only get it down my phone line. Inner city and BT can't be arsed to sort it out so I can get decent internet. My only option is to get an iPad to get decent 3G signal as the dongle I got from 3 was a waste of time! Trouble with getting an iPad for home Internet is that it won't be unlimited.

I have no idea if this is good or bad?? anyone?

I haven't checked mine in a while but well pleased with this.

I hardly ever had a problem with Be Broadband and although I have now moved over to cable (only for the improved uploading) I would still recommend them for reliability over cable any day of the week - as well as being a lot cheaper.

Entirely agree about Be. It's boss for realiability. Out of interest, how much roughly do you pay for your current virgin?
