      Or was it:

      16/01/1999     Southampton    Home     W     7-1     Fowler 3 (22, 37, 47), Matteo (35), Carragher (55), Owen (63), Thompson (73)

No way Jose...you must have been younger than that when you went to your biggest win!

Nah - don't think it was that one.

Another 'walloping' I was at was 5-0 v Nottingham Forest in 1988.  Must have been one of the first hammerings I saw, I think.

My memory's sh*t.  I've obviously been far too spoiled over the years by the reds.

Liverpool 7-0 York City (1985 FA Cup)

      John Wark hat-trick.

Just realised I've got no idea what my first league game was.

      4-0

      v Leicester     Anfield 1968.

      It was 4 - 0  by 3.15.
Scored them all in front of the Kop in the first quarter of an hour.

So we all thought it would go to 24 - 0 by Full Time !!!!

That's a good memory eurored, Yeats (2nd min) Smith (pen 4th min) Evans (10) and Callaghan (12 mins) Shame there were no more, Leicester were always a bit of a bogey side for Liverpool in those days.

Did anyone go to the 11-0 game against Stromgodset? I think that's our record win isn't it? not sure what year it was, but it must have been early 70's sometime.

The 1-0 away win at Chelsea back in October.  ;D

In the scheme of things it was a massive/big win...going to the Bridge and doing what no other team had been able to do in the previous 4 years.

What games did you go to that had the biggest wins for the Mighty Reds?

      My two:

      23/09/1986 League Cup
      R2 1st Leg
      Fulham
      Anfield
      10-0
      Rush 2 (8, 76), Wark 2 (10, 63), Whelan (28), McMahon 4 (44, 66, 71, 79), Nicol (83)

      And

      12/09/1989 League Division 1
      Crystal Palace
      Anfield
      9-0
      Nicol 2 (7, 90), McMahon (15), Rush (45), Gillespie (56), Beardsley (61), Aldridge (pen 67), Barnes (79), Hysen (82)

      Good Times! :)

They are the two biggest wins that I have been to as well. I went home from the 10-0 Fulham win gutted that Steve McMahon missed a penalty too! (Rush also hit the post 4 times!!!!). One of my favorite stories in football came from that night, The attendance was only about 24,000 and the fulham fans sang all night! Their song gave birth to a Fulham fanzine that is still going strong to day! the song "There's only one F'in' Fulham" the fanszine changed slightly to "There's only one F in Fulham"!  ;)

Can't remember the year, (approx 1970?) we beat Dundalk of Ireland 10-0 at home. Happy days. Also enjoyed the 7-0 thrashing of Spurs in '78, that last goal by Terry Mac is legendary!!!

Ha! I was only about 6. I don't remember the game, only that we won 10-0 and at the beginning when the teams came out our team used to kick fly-aways into the crowd and me and my dad were on the front row of the Kemlyn and there was a girl who was , erm, mentally challenged (is it ok to say that?) and my dad was telling me to jump over the boards onto the pitch to get the fly-away off Jan Molby as he jogged over to give it to the girl and I felt guilty, so I let her have it! But yep, 13000 was the attendance. All you fair weather fans missed a trick! ;)

The 8-0 agaisnt Bestikas was great game. Annoying thing was the ref played no added time think we would of got 9. Also he wouldn't give Crouchy the match ball.

      Erm.... Liverpool - Crewe Alexandra, sept 08, 2 - 1

An enormous result, taking our red men from 3rd round in the Carling Cup to get knocked out at White Hart Lane seven weeks later...

      EDIT: 24. May 2009, Liverpool - Tottenham 3 - 1  ;)
