£40 million to spend in January - Birmingham City
      Oct 15, 2009 07:51:35 pm
Looks like there is another team we won't be able to compete with in the transfer market, the new owners have said they will give McLeish £40 million to spend in January. We really did draw the short straw with our two clowns, if they are not gone by the Summer I really fear for us as a top 4 side.

It's F***ing BIRMINGHAM, and they are able to outdo us. F***ing hell.

We need more financial backing in the transfer market, because at the moment, we can't compete with a newly promoted side. Embarrassing.

Aston Villa signed Richard Dunne and Stephen Warnock. Tottenham signed Niko Krancjar.

Those players aren't the best but they are decent. On the other hand, we wait for Andriy Voronin to return and sign Sotiris Kyrgiakos for 2 million.
Even, we can't compete with them. :(

The yanks need to get out - sharpish.

It is so disappointing when you hear that a club like Birmingham has more money to spend in the transfer market than us.

Wonder if the Academy talks will emerge into a sale of shares by Gillette to this guy any time soon?... as his last public comment was non-committal...depressing that progress is so slow!!!!  :(

I think your going over the top saying we wont be able to compete with them in the transfer market, for christ sake it's Birmingham, who the hell is going to want to sign for Birmingham City that is any good?! They are near the bottom and will be fighting the drop all season.

Im not in the slightest bit concerened if they get £40million or £100million. Also, the manager was told he would have this sum of money in the summer but it never happened.

Patience is all ill say. So what if Birmingham have 40mil to spend, like 7KK7 said who would sign for them anyway?

When this Prince chap invests in our club, we'll all be raving about who we can sign and without worrying about if we can afford them.

Even if he does, I'm nt sure our transfer fund will change.

And I'm not surprised Birmingham have £40 million to spend , especially if you look at what they charge for a ticket!

In this crazy world of transfer fee's ?, 40 million will be lucky to buy them safety let alone compete with the top 4, disappointing that they are getting a reported 40 million to our reported 12 million, but at the moment that is the sign of the times we find ourselves in with H&G, all we can hope for is better times ahead.

Bet Hicks and Gillett are getting ready to sell them Torres or Gerrard. Or maybe both.

There is a credit crunch you know.

Spending a sh*t load of cash in January is silly to do, prices of players are very high and a month doesn't leave much time to bargain with clubs over players. All honesty it is going to be hard to attach any quality to a club who's goal is to stay in the Premiership.

whats gonna happen theyre gonna by these columbians starlets and honduran centre backs things that clubs like brummy do theyll be over priced cause the football world isnt stupid

a fresh owner is like fresh blood and the clubs are the leeches theyll suck them dry

personally its exciting for a supporter but its there form from now till january will be crucial if your gonna throw money at a manager that COULD be under pressure then whats the point in giving them sort of cash???

and is there many takeover nowadays that recieve full backing from there new owners?

i think the point of over new owner means new ideas fresh ideas changes within a club

in all exiciting for a brummy fan but be a little cautious at the same time

they need to moderate give him 10-15m then see what happens in summer
