      Footballers on Twitter
      Oct 13, 2009 05:25:51 pm
Just read this football blog about Premier League footballers on Twitter and it got me thinking - which Liverpool player would you like to see on there? This person claims to be Stevie G, but I'm not convinced. Would certainly be fascinating if it was.

Thoughts on the whole 'Footballers on Twitter' situation? Or do you not care in the slightest?

My bluenose mate emailed me this update from today from Mikel Arteta, and it's true!

"My first time kicking the ball again today and I am already better at passing than Phil Neville."

Woulda been better at passing than him before he even kicked a ball. You just have to be born and you are better than Phil Neville.

Keeps thanking people for following. Might be fake after all just to lure people to follow him.

I don't see why professional players must put up a twitter profile and then continuously keep thanking people for following him! Doesn't make enough sense and he doesn't have anything to have up he's Gerrard.

Although I might be wrong.. but I'm not convinced at all.

This was brought up a few weeks back in a different topic I think, and somebody said Gerrard nor Torres has Twitter (Torres had a fake one before).

I don't really think they have the time for that.

A game every three days and the free time is spent on training and family.

im follwing loads of players, crouch, rooney, but its mainly bent that does the talking, hes quite entertaining at times. i think its good to narrow the gap between the players and the fans.

      Listen carefully.

Steven Gerrard IS NOT on Twitter.  If you're one of his followers then you are one life's many gullible bas**rds.
